The Production Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance of production machinery. FLEET TECHNICIAN IV CLASSIFICATION TITLE: FLEET TECHNICIAN IV PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION Performs entry level to complex skilled work in the repair and maintenance of County vehicles, equipment and heavy equipment. Work involves performing preventive maintenance; diagnosing vehicle and equipment problems; removing and repairing or replacing defective parts, systems, and components; and repairing body damage. Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites. Perform administrative functions such as: writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis.
