Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and repair work on heavy construction equipment including bulldozers, cranes, graders, and other equipment.
Adjust equipment and repair and/or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers specifications.
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.

Complete required inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to maximize safety, productivity, and lifespan.
Craft thorough reports and records in a timely manner and provide final documentation to upper management.
Monitor equipment for compliance with prescribed operating and safety standards.
Participate in general shop operations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Must be able to look at mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, identify problems and think about possible solutions.
Experience with Directional Drills, crushers, and cranes a plus.
Experience with CAT preferred.
Ability to read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Heavy equipment maintenance experience required.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., have a valid CDL license and DOT physical card, and pass a pre-employment drug test.

Perform specialized aircraft maintenance work within the Collier County Helicopter Operations Division. The Aircraft Mechanic reports directly to the Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the aircraft/aircrafts. Lubricates parts, maintains fluid levels, cleans and repairs batteries. Maintains records in accordance with FAA regulations. Essential Functions
* Performs all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on time and in accordance with FAA and manufacturer's specifications consistent with Collier County Helicopter Operations policies and procedures.
* Installs, removes, and reinstalls aircraft parts and avionics in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and in compliance with FAA requirements. Ensures the optimal operational status and compatibility of the installed avionic equipment.
* Maintains accurate and up to date aircraft maintenance logbooks in accordance with FAA requirements and County policies and procedures.
* Maintains fuel system in accordance with FAA Part 139 regulations and Naples Airport Authority. Completes training by approved Naples Airport Authority vendor(s). Conducts daily, semi-annual and annual inspections on the fuel system as prescribed by Naples Airport Authority. Completes training on spill prevention and firefighting. Properly maintains records.
* Maintains the environmental integrity of the helicopter operations premises in order to promote a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations and County policies.
* Completes all assignments to specifications as directed, within the specific time frame and budget and in accordance with County policies and procedures.

Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed.
Communicate with management and support team via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers and/or discuss RO findings notes.
Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
Maintain company issued service truck, conduct safety checks and daily pre/post trip inspections.

FAA Mechanics Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant Rating.
Read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts and schematics.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Must not be allergic to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and cleaning solvents.
Work and bend in confined work space.
Must have manual dexterity required for technician.
Must be able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledgeable and experienced using computers and aircraft software.
Successful completion of at least one (1) Maintenance School is a plus.
Engine Run and Taxi qualified on business jet aircraft, preferably on Dassault Falcon Jet, Gulfstream, Citation, Bombardier, Lear Jet, Challenger, Global Express, Hawker Beechcraft, Embraer, etc. aircraft is a plus.

Mechanic Job In Naples, FL
Perform under supervision, specialized aircraft maintenance work within the Collier County Helicopter Operations Division. The Aircraft Mechanic I reports directly to the Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor. With the assistance of the supervisor, requisitions receive and store a variety of aircraft and aircraft engine parts, tools, etc. Performs maintenance responsibilities as required by FAR Part 135/FAA A&P mechanic.
Under supervision, maintains County aircraft/aircraft according to FAA and Manufacturer's recommendations. Diagnoses mechanical difficulties and determines the necessity of repair. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the aircraft/aircraft. Lubricates parts maintains fluid levels, and cleans and repairs batteries. Maintains records in accordance with FAA regulations. Repairs and maintains ground support and hangar equipment.
Essential Functions
* Assists in performing all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on time and following FAA and manufacturer's specifications consistent with Collier County Helicopter Operations policies and procedures.
* Assists in installing, removing, and reinstalling aircraft parts and avionics following manufacturers' specifications and in compliance with FAA requirements.
* Ensures the optimal operational status and compatibility of the installed avionic equipment.
* Maintains accurate and up-to-date aircraft maintenance logbooks following FAA requirements and County policies and procedures.
* Assists in maintaining fuel systems following FAA Part 139 regulations and Naples Airport Authority.
* Completes training by approved Naples Airport Authority vendor(s).
* Conducts daily, semi-annual, and annual inspections on the fuel system as prescribed by the Naples Airport Authority.
* Completes training on spill prevention and firefighting.
* Properly maintains records.
* Maintains the environmental integrity of the helicopter operations premises to promote a safe and healthy work environment following OSHA regulations and County policies.
* Completes all assignments to specifications as directed, within the specific time frame and budget, and following County policies and procedures.
* Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, daily activity logs, inspection forms, purchase requisitions, work orders, maintenance records, charts, diagrams, graphs, timecards, leave requests, or other documents.
* Receives various forms, reports, correspondence, lists, schedules, work orders, delivery receipts, invoices, laboratory reports, technical studies, service/maintenance schedules, maintenance records, operational manuals, material safety data sheets, diagrams, laws, policies, procedures, regulations, standards, directories, manuals, reference materials, or other documentation; reviews completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate.
* Operates a personal computer as necessary to complete essential functions.
* Communicates with supervisor, other divisions, employees, contractors, vendors/suppliers, the public, outside agencies, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review the status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.
* Maintains a current knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, methods, and procedures; attends workshops and training sessions as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma required.
* Preferred three (3) years of maintenance experience with a minimum of two (2) years maintaining turbine-powered helicopters - in a Part 135 and/or Part 145 environment.
* EMS experience preferred.
* Must not have incurred any FAA suspensions/revocations.
* Knowledge of tools, equipment, and procedures used in maintenance and repair of aircraft equipment.
* Knowledge of FAA regulations and requirements.
* Knowledge of testing procedures, service techniques, methods of troubleshooting, corrosion control, inspection requirements, and retirement times.
* Knowledge of current FAA civilian maintenance standards, as outlined in FAR Part-91 and Part-135, Form 337s, STCs MEL, and Avionics.
* Ability to operate tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of aircraft.
* Ability to communicate, verbally, and in writing.
* Fingerprinting required.
* Post-offer drug screening following the following regulations is required: FAA 14 CFR Part 135; DOT 49 CFR Part 40; and FAA 14 CFR Part 120.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
* Possess and maintain a valid FAA A&P.
* Inspection Authorization license is preferred.
* Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle as provided in CMA 5805.

Position Responsibilities
The mechanical apprentice is partnered with a licensed journeyman HVAC Mechanical Journeyman and has on-the-job training (OJT) to become an HVAC Mechanical Journeyman.
You'll help perform mechanical installations of a multifamily and commercial nature.
