Biotechnology company is hiring a Material Handler to manage receipts and shipments of laboratory supplies and business materials. The position will work directly with the Purchasing, Lab, and Finance departments to store, track and reconcile all materials.
This is a 6 month contract. Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities
Processing accurate Purchase Order receipts in Netsuite ERP system.
Support Sample Receiving process(s).
Kan-Ban distribution of Stock to Point of Use locations throughout labs.
Tagging and labeling incoming stock items and put-away.
Managing item disposition per QC status in stockroom.
Maintaining incoming/outgoing shipment log.
Interact with purchasing department to reconcile shipping discrepancies.
Perform cycle count of stock materials.
Maintain supply item records and manage inventory within Netsuite.
Prepare and process outbound shipments, domestic & international.
Interact with freight and logistics carriers to schedule pick-up and deliveries.
Work with finance to reconcile PO and packing slips.
Author and refine written SOPs for work responsibilities.
Initiate purchase requisitions as required.
Qualifications
Associate's degree and 2-5 years of Material Handler experience within Biotechnology or Pharmaceuticals indsutry.
Must have experience working with temperature-sensitive (refrigerated, frozen) materials and demonstrate understanding of the importance of maintaining the chain of custody for cold-chain items.
Experience with domestic and international shipping and associated packaging and documentation requirements.
Candidates should have experience working with integrated ERP & LIMS systems with NetSuite knowledge being a definite plus.
Work Environment: On-site resource, Moderate lifting, Occasional work with items that are frozen and refrigerated, Occasional work with Blood Samples.

The Warehouse Receiver will be responsible for receiving merchandise and materials from outside vendors. The Warehouse Driver will be held to a high standard of service with both internal team members and external customers. The Warehouse Driver performs all aspects of the day-to-day functions within the Service Center warehouse. Additionally, the Warehouse Driver acts as a back-up Route Sales Driver as needed to support customer needs. Team members in this role are provided with uniforms and, when acting as a Route Sales Driver, a vehicle to complete their route, cell phone, tablet, and gas card.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receiving/Shipping of packages utilizing: UPS, DHL, etc.
Assist in loading of ICEE delivery trucks ensuring that they are equipped with ICEE product, current promotional stock and POS (Point of Sale)
Maintain and order POS for Account Executives
Box and palletize product for shipment
Pull orders for distributor pick up
Maintain daily and weekly inventory logs
Maintain work area and general upkeep of warehouse/office facility
Fill in for route drivers when Service Center is short-handed
On occasion, there will be COD (cash on demand) accounts delivered. The driver will deliver the product to these accounts and in return, he/she will receive the payment for this product. If cash payment is made, the driver is responsible for obtaining a money order for the proper amount. This money order is turned into the Service Center at the end of the day.
