Job Title: Material Handler - CW (24 months)
Pay range: $20.00/h - $23.00/h
Location: Tualatin, OR 97062, USA
We are going to have availability mostly for the night shift for the following days, let me know if that works for you!
Duties:
Review customer orders, examines, stocks, and distributes merchandise, products, and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing lines.
Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.
Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory.
Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repair orders.
Complete material transactions in SAP, creating non-conformance reports in IQMS, and closing tasks in MFG based Cell Fusion application as the task requires.
Perform and report cycle counts.
Oversee crating and audit of outbound material.
Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move freight as needed.
Arrange for nonstandard crating, rigging, and trucking work through proper channels.
Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them.
Safety Protocol:
Complete all required safety training.
Follow safe work practices by lifting no more than 35 pounds, using ergonomic pads, stretching when needed, etc.
Adhere to personal and product safety guidelines by:
Utilizing appropriate PPE following clean room procedures
Following Lockout Tagout policies and procedures (LOTO and ZEST)
Utilizing fixtures (lift hoists, lift track, gantry cranes, lifting tools) to aid in the assembly of tools
Perform Risk Management by Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections and document, correct, and/or escalate safety issues/hazards to appropriate individuals/departments.
Respond directly and quickly to unsafe practices; escalate to the next level manager (safety representative, lead, supervisor, manager); and escalate any unresolved issues (incorrect use of hoist, poor placement of tools/cords/ladders, etc., not using cones or barriers, PPE misuse).

· Utilize handheld scanners for warehouse operational activities such as but not limited to: Materials Receipt, Picking, Packing, Shipping, and Inventory Cycle Count
· Weekly inventory and cycle counting.
· Complete all paperwork and data entry by the end of the day in SAP or other online systems.
· Delivery of products throughout the facility (small package delivery).
· Close communication with production team for incoming and outgoing material efficiency.
· Make suggestions to management for improving this position or improving work processes.

The Opportunity

This position is responsible for a broad range of Wearhouse activities that are performed to keep JSR's manufacturing facility operating efficiently and effectively.

HERE'S MORE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Load and unload shipments.
* Unpack or offload all incoming materials and put away in proper storage locations within the plant/warehouse.
* Stages packaging materials based on batching schedule, using a handheld scanner to verify the order and puts away finished good material as it is completed/batched.
* Stages and packs outgoing materials based on sales orders and stock transfer orders, using a handheld scanner to verify the order.
* Generate appropriate labels for incoming and outgoing material.
* Utilize handheld scanners for warehouse operational activities such as but not limited to: Materials Receipt, Picking, Packing, Shipping, and Inventory Cycle Count
* Weekly inventory and cycle counting.
* Complete all paperwork and data entry by the end of the day in SAP or other online systems.
* Delivery of products throughout the facility (small package delivery).
* Close communication with production team for incoming and outgoing material efficiency.
* Make suggestions to management for improving this position or improving work processes.
* Maintain 5S organizational and cleanliness standards.
* Work safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures.
* Identify unsafe conditions or actions to supervisor/management.
* Other duties as may be assigned.

**_What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health_**
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Provides training for individual or group settings to new hires as well as tenured employees (i.e., order selectors, loader, auditors, etc. new Employee, elevate training, cross training, quality training)
+ Creates landmarks to be achieved through training content and create training plans.
+ Implements New Employee Onboarding Program to all employees across all roles inside the warehouse. This would include leadership.
+ Coaches, counsels, and inspires employees to not only meet but exceed required production goals.
+ Drives engagement with each employee.
+ Conducts skill needs assessments to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations and changes in training policies and procedures.
+ Utilizes Training Matrix report that will provide you and your site with data that supports employee's knowledge, employees' hours in a function, the number of employees with knowledge in a function, etc.
+ Coordinates trainings and re-certifications, ensuring training is designed, delivered, and evaluated for consistency.
+ Observes employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled.
+ Documents each training program and module properly and provide follow up for refresher training courses.
+ Determines that trainees are aware of order accuracy procedures and conformity at each stage of the training.
+ Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and Safety Manager.
+ Maintains a training log with trainees and holds weekly one-on-one meetings with new selectors.
+ Functions as a general warehouse team member within the department and performs other duties as assigned when not training
+ Learns and trains on all functions within the warehouse
+ Travels as necessary based on needs of the business
**_Qualifications:_**
+ High school diploma or GED preferred and/or some college preferred
+ Be willing to take a MHE training class to administer equipment certifications to employees
+ Be willing to train during any shift hours for new employees for at least 2 weeks
+ Proficient in Microsoft office
+ Good written communication skills
+ Exhibits and practices positive communications and team building skills with trainees to ensure a consistently professional environment.
