What you will do as a Distribution Center Associate:
Lifting: you must be able to lift and carry objects up to 100 pounds and manipulate up to 250 pounds occasionally. (Think of lifting couches throughout the day.)

Job Summary:
Provide informal leadership to others while performing warehouse functions including order-pulling, packaging, shipping, receiving and material handling.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives, unpacks, labels and issues materials to warehouse or designated location.
Inspects incoming and outgoing goods for quality and damage.
Measures, weighs or counts materials and product.
Prepares and packs orders for shipment.
Stacks pallets of product for loading per shipping requirements.
Maintains the required clerical records.
Completes all necessary shipping and receiving paperwork.
Ensures timely completion of Daily cycle counts.
Operates warehouse machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Maintains inventory of all packaging and shipping supplies.
Ensures adherence to safety and OSHA guidelines while maintaining a safe, clean and organized shop floor.
Works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure that the warehouse is providing the best possible service and support to production, other warehouse locations and departments as needed. Be able to flex to other warehouses to support increased work load or personnel shortages.
May train staff on policies, procedures, safety, and use of warehouse equipment.
Conduct Team meetings and provide coaching/mentoring to other team members
Back up when Warehouse Supervisor is out.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
A high school diploma / GED and at least 2 years of related experience.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer and math skills.
Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Valid driver's license.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to be forklift certified.
Desirable Qualifications
Previous lead experience or a desire to lead employees.
