About the Role:
Ascendion is seeking an Inventory Specialist to support inventory management and logistics operations in a fast-paced environment. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting audits, and ensuring efficient material handling. The Inventory Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, support process improvements, and maintain inventory integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and audits to ensure data accuracy.

Basic Qualifications:

Comfortable performing physical tasks such as standing, bending, climbing, and lifting.
Ability to work required shift hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.

Summary

What You'll Do
* Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment. Follows established Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Health and Safety Rules, and immediately addresses safety concerns
* Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses. Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list
* Keep incoming orders stocked on shelves orderly and in designated area and reports freight damage claims
* Prepare branch orders from the warehouse and ensures that the correct number and type of product is being shipped
* Process paperwork regarding shipments including but not limited to; verifying that the merchandise to be shipped is correct, applying the correct postage tape and label, following customer shipping instructions and, insuring the shipment when necessary
* Operate machinery including forklift, reach truck, and wire cutting machine when required
* Load common carrier and company vehicles
* Inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment
* Perform inventory counts and reconciles any discrepancies
* Make deliveries to branches/customers as needed
* Assist with other warehouse or branch duties as needed
* Other duties as assigned

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Associate to join our team at our south Seattle warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining efficient warehouse operations by ensuring inventory is organized within the designated space and assisting with both incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Inventory Organization: Implement and maintain a streamlined system for organizing and arranging items within the warehouse to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access to inventory.
* Delivery Acceptance: Efficiently receive and process incoming deliveries, verifying the accuracy of shipments against accompanying documentation and promptly notifying relevant parties of any discrepancies.
* Shipment Consolidation: Consolidate and prepare outgoing shipments destined for various vessels, ensuring that items are accurately packaged, labeled, and documented to prevent damage and facilitate smooth transit.
* Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by participating in regular stocktaking activities and promptly reporting any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
* Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel and comply with all relevant regulations governing warehouse operations.
* Good physical condition; able to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis
* Onsite; Must be able to work onsite daily in our south Seattle warehouse
REQUIREMENTS
* Proven Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
* Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform other physically demanding tasks.

Lindblad Expeditions determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data.
