About this Position: The purpose and function of the Stock & Material Handler position is to perform general warehouse duties at our Parts Center Responsibilities include: * Picking, packing, shipping, and receiving of all Honda/Acura parts and accessories * Operating a forklift and other warehouse machinery * Lifting, pushing, and pulling 25-50 lbs. frequently Qualifications * No experience necessary Who we are seeking: * Candidates with the ability to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as needed * Individuals who are willing to learn - We will train you! * Experienced / tenured Stock and Material Handlers Required Work Experience: * Understand verbal and written directions * Ability to make calculations of amounts to ensure correct order quantities are selected * Ensure quality throughout your process * Ability to stand for long periods of time * Bending, walking, and lifting, up to 25-50lbs on a frequent basis required * Comfortable working at high levels on an elevated platform up to 40' * Must be able to work the 2nd* shift, starting at 3PM/4PM until 11:30PM/12:30AM * Available to work overtime on weekdays / weekends as needed * Must be able to adhere to Honda's long-term commitment to high efficiency and shipping accuracy to deliver quality service parts to our customers * Must be a team player and willing and able to find, implement, and embrace new methods and processes to enhance operations Required Education: * High School Diploma/GED Desired skills: * Customer Service Skills Additional Position Factors: * Workstyle: Onsite At Honda, you will play a key role in our journey to become a company that society wants to exist now, and in the future.     The Freight Handler loads, unloads and transports freight within or near terminal, yard or work site. Critical Job Functions: * Reads work order or follows oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved. * Loads and unloads freight and counts onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. * Loads freight into vehicles and installs blocking, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. * Transports freight from storage dock area or trailers to designated area. * Secures lifting attachments to freight and conveys load to move load to destination. * Attaches identifying tags or labels to freight or marks information on cases, bales, pallets, and other shipping packages. * Stacks or assembles freight into bundles and bands bundles together on pallets. * Cleans work area, machines and equipment to assist machine operators. * Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving material and products. * Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
