Summary: The Materials Coordinator supports manufacturing by maintaining inventory, floor stock levels, and inventory records. They will support logistics, receive products into stock, and deliver products to the production floor. The position also includes material handling, responsible for storing products using equipment including, but not limited to, pallet jack dollies and forklifts.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
Maintain a high level of accuracy in record keeping and computer database activities.
Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on pick list.
Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering shortages and fulfilling floor stock.
Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
Locates and packs materials for shipping.
Receives return to stock material from production by verifying material part numbers and quantities.
Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.
Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.

Duties:

Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move freight as needed.
Arrange for nonstandard crating, rigging, and trucking work through proper channels.
Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them.
Safety Protocol:
Complete all required safety training.
Follow safe work practices by lifting no more than 35 pounds, using ergonomic pads, stretching when needed, etc.
Adhere to personal and product safety guidelines by:
Utilizing appropriate PPE following clean room procedures
Following Lockout Tagout policies and procedures (LOTO and ZEST)
Utilizing fixtures (lift hoists, lift track, gantry cranes, lifting tools) to aid in the assembly of tools
Perform Risk Management by Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections and document, correct, and/or escalate safety issues/hazards to appropriate individuals/departments.
Respond directly and quickly to unsafe practices; escalate to the next level manager (safety representative, lead, supervisor, manager); and escalate any unresolved issues (incorrect use of hoist, poor placement of tools/cords/ladders, etc., not using cones or barriers, PPE misuse).

Responsibilities
Load and unload materials and finished goods from trucks and warehouses using forklifts, lift trucks, pallet jacks, other equipment, and manual effort (as required).
Manage inventory electronically using Syspro.
Drive materials and finished goods between company locations (
Complete and verify paperwork for deliveries to verify material load.
Work together with all departments for transportation of materials.
Pull parts from warehouse to fill assembly kits and replenish point of use materials.
Complete system required inventory transactions.
Ensure new kits are issued to Fabrication and Assembly in a timely manner.
Verify counts of products coming from Fabrication and outside suppliers, perform inventory transactions, close shop.
Orders and put materials away.
Issue rework orders and complete scrap transactions as appropriate.
Maintain inventory accuracy through the use of regular cycle counting.
Maintain organization of material storage locations.
Support the on-going reporting of key performance metrics.
Participate in improvement projects to continuously raise performance within the function.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED equivalent, and 1-2 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Equivalency to the qualification standard will also be considered
A Valid Drivers' license with a clean driving record.
Basic understanding of inventory management/controls and cycle count practices.
Demonstrate great attendance, punctuality, and time sensitivity.
Must be able to multi-task accurately with overlapping priorities.
Familiarity with MRP systems and performing inventory transactions.
Works well in a collaborative and positive team environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail.
Good computer skills.
Ability to multi-task efforts.

Forklift Operator I is responsible for the movement of material from inventory to production and back to inventory. Maintains correct paperwork and production records as required. Provides production departments with material from inventory according to production schedule.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Moves material in process from one station to another if necessary
Bands, wraps and/or packs finished goods, and labels material
Moves finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse
Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs
Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment
Completes pre-shift startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns
Maintains rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean
Completes production records as required

Qualifications
