Count, weigh, and record number of units of material handled on daily production sheet. Complete specialized order processing for loading by stenciling, slip-sheeting, stretch wrapping, labeling, and consolidating as required on order. Loading & Unloading: Load picked orders according to APLL Operating policies and procedures, completing appropriate paperwork including Bill of Lading, Pick Report, Trailer Audit, Lot Verification. Unload, move, stack, and stage customer products and materials, both by hand and using forklift or other power equipment, keeping appropriate records and reports. Operating & Maintenance: Assign trailers to appropriate dock and/or yard location, chocking the wheels, following all safety rules and company policy. Daily inspect equipment, make adjustments before operating tow-motor vehicles or equipment, following safety and maintenance instructions, and complete inspection sheet at the beginning of each shift; report immediately any defective equipment to supervisor. Daily inspect and prepare trailers prior to loading product by inspecting and cleaning as needed to insure product preservation. Assist in building and grounds maintenance to insure that the facility is maintained in a clean, neat, safe, and orderly manner. Reports: Complete activity and statistical reports as assigned by supervisor. Assist in physical inventories ensuring facility and contents are secure. Miscellaneous: Provide other services such as sanitation requirement activities, assembling crates (boxes) to contain products, and/or moving loose materials to containers as directed by supervisor and/or team leader. Participates in Safety and 5S requirements Key Result Areas: Apply the APL Logistics Continuous Improvement (ACI) Model for operational efficiency to improve business process, increase proficiency and increase efficiency through waste elimination. Apply the 5S Lean methodology to sustain a safe, clean and orderly facility. Position requires the incumbent's performance to meet and occasionally exceed standards as set by the company for safety, quality, productivity and customer services.

Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, and shipping merchandise or material; verifying and recording outgoing merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. Requirements • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, packing slips, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments. • Prepare documents such as manufacturing templates, tracking info, and shipping orders to route materials. • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. • Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. • Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. • Confer and correspond with Sales, Customer Service, and establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications. • Assist Customer Service and Sales with inventory questions or concerns, quotes, dimensions. • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. • Provide day to day guidance in Shipping by structuring workloads to maximum productivity and efficiencies.
