BASIC FUNCTION
Support production according to Standard Operating Procedures and specified quality standards. Carries out specific instructions from Production Manager/Supervisor in accordance with the daily schedule.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs daily tasks in the Warehousing Department, including picking, packing, kitting of materials, receiving, inventory control, operating a forklift, preparing product for use throughout facility.
Ensure all required materials are accounted for and ready for upcoming orders.
Works closely with your supervisor to maintain a lean and efficient workflow to meet schedules.
Contributes to the Team Effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Ensure Purple's excellence in quality is maintained.
Ability to pass any drug tests and certification to operate all PIT and other DC equipment.
Ability to operate pallet stretch-wrapping machine.

Full-time Description
Wright Manufacturing, Inc. (WMI), an award winning producer of commercial grade lawn equipment, is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Internal Logistics Team.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, earning overtime at time and one half for hours worked over 40 hours per week. Schedule is typically Monday through Friday 7:00am-4:00pm. Occasional work on Saturdays may be needed as work flows dictate.
*Opportunity for overtime is available but not guaranteed
Primary Duties include:
· Operate LP sit-down forklift to assist in Receiving and Inventory Control functions
· Unload FTL and LTL orders safely and efficiently
· Maintain a clean and organized Dock, working with stand up forklift operator to prioritize tasks and optimize space
· Transfer product from UPS/FedEx Ground from Dock and scan/stock them into the home locations
· Respond to radio calls from Group Leaders and Team Leaders to perform forklift duties as requested
· Ensure proper FIFO inventory processes are followed always
· Daily inspection and maintenance of Clark forklift
· Waste stream management- transport all cardboard, empty pallets, engine racks, etc. to proper locations and process accordingly (baling, transporting product outside, etc)
· Assist Receiving Clerk during verification/receiving processes
· Crosstrain to learn various material handling processes related to the assembly line
· Assist in 5S Methodology (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
· Assist with special projects and rework as necessary
· Contribute to and participate in Kaizen projects to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost
Requirements
Qualified candidates for the role of Forklift Operator should be able to demonstrate:
· Extensive sit down forklift experience required, pertaining to working on a fast paced dock
· Stand up forklift experience a plus
· Strong attention to detail
· Consistent work history
· Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled
· Ability to work in a moderate to high noise level environment
