Position Summary: Material Handlers are responsible for counting, moving and organizing material inventory both physically and in computer system. This position maintains accurate quantities while materials are processed through receiving, issuing work orders, OSP process, quality inspections and shipping. In addition, this position processes items for shipment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
* Satisfactorily read, interpret and follow material handling work instructions.
* Pull parts for Assembly, Packing and OSP processing.
* Deliver work order parts to assembly.
* Receive incoming parts, verify part numbers and store parts in proper locations according to stock locations on the computer.
* Responsible for counting all parts that go in and out of stock.
* Record stock transactions on the computer system.
* Work closely with operation personnel.
* Fill, transport carts and deliver to work centers.
* Trigger orders with Kanban and transport carts.
* Maintain 5S organized and clean work areas.
* Follow production schedule and work order priorities.
* Properly pack and ship products accurately
* Accurately perform cycle counts when scheduled.
Education/Experience & Skills:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* 6 months - 1+ years of experience preferred, especially in a manufacturing environment.
* English reading skills, ability to follow written directions.
* Proficient in basic writing and math.
* High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
* Ability to communicate well with others verbally and in email.
* Ability to work well within teams.
* Comfortable with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions:
* Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
* Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.
* Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.
* The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping/squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds.
* Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
* Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, ability to grip, reach, pull, turn, and use tools to torque fixtures in various machinery or in the assembly, machining, or testing of parts.
* Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to focus on fine print.
* Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
* Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
