The primary function of this role is to coordinate warehouse activities, encompassing product shipping, receiving, and system transactions, as well as maintaining and organizing the warehouse. The coordinator will work closely with other departments to maintain a smooth workflow. Identify and report any damaged or substandard products, initiating appropriate corrective actions. Warehouse Organization: Arrange and optimize the storage of products within the warehouse to maximize space utilization and facilitate easy access. Implement and maintain a logical and efficient product layout to minimize handling time and enhance safety. Job Responsibilities: Accurately load and unload trucks with a lift truck, pallet jack, or two-wheel dolly. Correctly weigh incoming material using a floor scale. Identify fasteners or products from the packing slips provided. Locate and ship outgoing material to the appropriate customers. Correctly package ups for shipping. Interact with customers and drivers in a courteous manner. Complete appropriate documents and necessary paperwork. Responsibilities Loading, unloading, and staging of freight on motor carriers and in dock facilities. Complete and processes appropriate paperwork. Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude within and between co-workers, departments, and other Tax-Air terminals. Ensure all freight paperwork is complete, accurate, legible, and processed timely. Perform physical loading, unloading, rearranging, and staging of freight. Check shipments received for correct items, counts, packing, crating, and tagging. Ensure safe and proper loading of freight within each vehicle (bracing, strapping, labeling freight, etc.) to minimize the possibility of damaged freight. Skills Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, constantly changing, and stressful environment. Must be able to operate material handling and dock-related equipment including forklifts safely and efficiently, hand trucks, tow motors, dock hooks, etc. Team-oriented and safety conscious Requirements 6 months prior forklift experience; a combination of applicable work experience or education in a warehouse/dock role will be considered. Must be forklift certifiable through Tax-Air's forklift certification program for OSHA compliance. Forklift, dock hook, general material handling equipment, banders, calculator, copier, imaging equipment, scanning equipment, etc. Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
