Job Information Operates industrial truck equipment with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products, equipment and material in warehouse, storage yard or factory. Supplies the lines with the materials needed to perform their job.
Shift Schedule: Positions available on the following shifts:
1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday (subject to overtime as business needs require)
7th Shift: 3:00pm - 1:30am, Monday - Thursday (subject to overtime as business needs require)
11th Shift: 8:30pm - 7:00am, Monday - Thursday (subject to overtime as business needs require)
Role & Responsibility
1. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
2. Positions forks, lifting platform or other lifting devices under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, product or materials and transports to designated area.
3. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
4. Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids or lifting device by hand as needed
5. Maintains safety checks on lift truck to ensure it is in safe and proper working order.
6. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety rules and regulations.
7. Supplies the lines with the materials needed to perform their job manually or with the use of power equipment.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirement
Diploma - High School Diploma/Equivalent
Allow Equivalent
Must be able to read and receive instructions in English. Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Successful completion of a forklift safety class, written forklift operation test and an eye exam to check for peripheral vision is required. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time. The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of high school or equivalent is required. Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations or assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations or assignments.

Your Day at Lowe's
As a Receiver/Stocker, you keep our stores clean and presentable to improve customers' overall shopping experience. You ensure our merchandise is accurately received and replenished by safely unloading merchandise from incoming freight, moving it to the sales floor, and stocking shelves.
This role is physically demanding, and to be successful, you will need to understand proper lifting procedures and prepare to move merchandise for most of your shift. Additionally, you will replace damaged shelving, keep the backroom organized, handle hazardous materials, and ensure equipment is charged.
While most of your time will be spent in activities that don't involve customer interaction, you may be expected to answer customer questions and assist in handling merchandise.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure products are accurately received, stocked, and replenished.
* Follow proper lifting guidelines to safely stock products on shelves
* Ensure aisles are clean, organized, and safe
* Engage customers, vendors, and associates with a positive attitude
* Remain vigilant and report any safety or security concerns around the store
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations

Minimum Qualifications
* Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
* Ability to hear, listen, and to communicate verbally with others
* Able to use a smartphone and other common retail technology
* Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
* Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience operating a forklift or similar equipment
* Experience in a warehouse environment performing inventory handling and stocking

Travel Requirements
This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working Conditions
Environmental factors vary by location. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment.
Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Warehouse Associate at DSG:
Accurately pull material from location to fill each order
Pack, label and put filled orders in proper locations for delivery
Operate gas and electric forklifts and riders
Operates wire measuring / cutting machine, cuts proper wire to proper length, mark tags with new wire amounts and fills racks when needed
Operate pipe machine, cuts pipe to proper length and depth
Sweep and mop floors, clean and dust shelves, sorts and dumps trash in appropriate bins
Maintains proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
Handle calls for warehouse when needed
Use computer and/or RF scanner to check on status, availability and location of product
Notify inventory control about shortages or overages in inventory
Load delivery trucks as needed
Assist in Receiving as workload permits
Inspect trucks before delivery to ensure that they are in good working order and will pass road inspection, such as checking tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, etc.; report any vehicle problems and/or set appointments to get problems fixed
Frequently communicate with fellow employee owners regarding how product should be loaded and to learn of any problems or concerns
Perform any other duties as assigned
A Successful Warehouse Associate Typically Has:
Basic product and warehouse or delivery knowledge that would normally be acquired in one to three years of applicable experience.
Attention to detail.
Organizational skills and an ability to prioritize tasks.
Safety training on material handling and forklift driving.
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
The physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
