We are currently seeking a Licensed Therapist to support our clinic in Tacoma, WA. This position, reporting to the Clinic Supervisor, is an excellent opportunity for someone excited to make an immediate and lasting impact in a growing company.
Position Overview:
As a Licensed Therapist at Cedar Wellness Center, you will work with a team that is on your side and who knows that you are on theirs. We are looking for a Licensed Therapist who has training in chemical dependency and experience with multicultural populations. The ideal candidate will be patient, humble, and determined, along with demonstrating agility, optimism, organization, and empathy in their work. Primary Duties:
Report directly to Clinical Supervisor.
Provide treatment in individual and group settings for individuals and families of individuals with substance use disorder.
Provide regular feedback regarding client progress to third-party monitors.
Handle phone inquiries from community members requesting information about outpatient chemical dependency treatment.
Maintain up-to-date, accurate progress notes and client records on personal caseload.
Evaluate and assess potential patients for appropriateness for outpatient treatment.
Participate in contacting community referral sources and disseminating information about outpatient chemical dependency treatment and the neurobehavioral model.
Attend regular training sessions and other events as required.
Do whatever is necessary to maintain a successful, professional, and effective clinic site.
Adhere to personnel policies and clinical protocols.
Orient new patients to the program rules, policies, procedures, and patient's rights.
Conduct Intakes, Transition/Discharge Planning, Initial ASAM Assessment and Initial Tx Plans and Tx Plan Updates with patients in a professional manner and within regulatory guidelines.
Recognize and apply patients Strengths, Needs, Ability, and Preferences (SNAP), to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that effectively help patients reach their short- and long-term goals.
Providing outside referrals for specialized services and conduct following-up
Reviewing Physician notes following intake or other medical appointments. Including any high-risk factors in patient treatment plan.
Refer high-risk patients to clinic Physician as needed (e.g., new pregnancy, medication instability, other reported ailments).
Scheduling individual and group counseling sessions with patients, documenting rescheduled or missed appointments. Reviewing missed counseling appointment (hand out) with patients.
Engaging in community relations and outreach efforts when appropriate.
Collect research data when requested.
Present clients and participate in case conferences.
Have documentation signed within designated time frames as determined by policies. and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
Adopt a team approach concept and collaborate with clinical and medical staff to ensure quality patient care.
Proactively ensure that clients have enough counseling as appropriate for their condition, including proactively working with front office and medical staff to see patients for counseling when they are in the clinic for dosing.
Perform diverse tasks or other duties as assigned by Clinic Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's or doctoral degree in marriage and family therapy, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution
Must be registered & licensed with the Washington DOH
Prior training in counseling or substance use disorder treatment,
History of performing in a professional capacity.
Willing to follow Cedar Wellness Center's personnel policies.
Able to work the hours and days required by position, including daily 5:30 am start times.
Be willing to learn and able to deliver the Cedar Wellness Center model of outpatient chemical dependency treatment.
Ability to provide health and TB clearance.
Must pass background check and urine drug screen.
Read understand and comply with Cedar Wellness Center Code of Ethics.
Observe proper chain of command and reporting processes.
Report inappropriate behavior and misconduct of other staff.
Maintain a non-smoking, safe, healthy, pleasant, and orderly working environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
* Wage: 36% commission for massage services provided. Hourly equivalent for commission ranges from $43.00/hour - $64.80/hour per terms of the current commission plan

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Perform various types of massage treatments i.e., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, etc.
* Prepare and maintain treatment area supplies daily
* Ensure the privacy of each guest
* Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of facility
* Promote and sell massage and body products
* Attend departmental staff meetings as requested
* Attend product knowledge training as required
* Perform special tasks as requested by the Spa Manager or Spa Director
Qualifications
* Proficiency in all components of massage, body and hydrotherapy, i.e., anatomy and physiology
* Proficiency in performing a variety of body treatments in addition to being well versed in new developments
* Minimum of 2 years professional experience as a massage therapist, including performing deep tissue massage
* Previous luxury spa experience preferred
* Valid WA State Massage License
* Ability to lift 20-30 pounds
* Ability to stand for long periods of time
* Weekend schedule availability
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to create a relaxing and therapeutic experience for clients
* Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced enviornment
Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $43.00/Hr. - $64.80/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
