The Team
The Derivative Systems Data Analyst Team provides expertise in the Derivative Center of Excellence (CoE) supporting MassMutual's General Investment Account (GIA). The team is unique, as it intersects with multiple stakeholders across the derivative ecosystem, including Investment Management Front Office, Investment Management Operations, Enterprise Technology & Experience (ETX) and external vendors. The team serves an integral role in both BAU and strategic initiatives by providing analysis, documentation, enhancement, testing and delivery related to derivative applications, configurations, data flows and integrations. The Impact
* Understand data flows and hierarchies within the derivative system including how data is sourced and aggregated to support daily delivery of derivative data to MassMutual stakeholders to enable critical derivative reporting and analysis capabilities
* Accountability for data within the MassMutual derivative data ecosystem; Includes helping define requirements and ensuring data is fit for purpose
* Understand and translate business requirements, work with Product Owners and Developers to prioritize for implementation
* Communicate and collaborate with external partners and asset managers to implement business solutions for new or changing business needs
* Drives root cause analysis and resolution of business derivative data challenges, including proposal and implementation of process or workflow changes
* Serve as a point of escalation and ongoing support for front office, middle office, and back office teams as well as all users of data extracts while ensuring appropriate documentation of processes is available and maintained
The Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, technology, or a related field
* 10+ years of investment data experience with an understanding of systems and data management
* 8+ years of Derivative systems and configuration experience

MassMutual is seeking a candidate to lead the investment accounting and controllership for derivatives across our various insurance and non-insurance entities, which entails ensuring the accuracy of the investment results across various derivative strategies on a GAAP and statutory basis. This position will also support continued process enhancements related to achieving an accelerated close that produces timely, accurate and complete investment accounting results in an efficient manner. All candidates must, in addition to possessing the specific qualifications cited below, work well within a complex, fast-paced, fluid environment, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
The Impact:
* Creates an environment whereby the team is inspired, engaged and motivated by identifying opportunities to learn and grow
* Plays a key role in leading a collaborative and inclusive culture by working closely with Investment Management Operations, Investment Managers and other Controllers teams
* Manage the monthly reconciliations between the ledger and investment systems for derivatives ensuring the accuracy of the financial statement results as it relates to derivatives
* Oversee preparation of monthly analytics report and present findings to various stakeholders on a monthly basis
* Responsible for review, accuracy, and timely completion of footnotes and NAIC Schedule DB
* Execute on process re-design as a result of the increase in our investment strategies and development of analytics for quarterly derivative results
* Responsible for investment office support for new hedging strategies in collaboration with Accounting Policy to ensure execution of these results in appropriate GAAP, STAT and reinsurance accounting and reporting
* Partner with the Investment Middle Office on design of operational processes in the subledger that support the derivatives accounting and controllership activities
* Execute processes and controls that support the derivative accounting and controllership processes
* Serve as a point of contact for external auditors on all derivative related matters
* Perform control functions in compliance with NAIC Model Audit Rule and the Company's internal control structure
* Perform frequent ad hoc analysis and assist with special projects, as requested.
The Minimum Qualifications:
* 8+ years of relevant experience in Investment Accounting and/or Investment Operations for derivative investments with a foundational understanding of the upstream processes and impacts to downstream accounting and Controllership
* 3+ years of STAT
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
The Ideal Qualifications:
* Experience in insurance company Investment GAAP and Statutory accounting including Schedule DB
* Experience in successful process redesign from system enhancements and conversion
* Experience with derivate software such as Murex or Calypso
* Pro-active, detail oriented, deadline driven; possess excellent documentation and analytical skills
* Results oriented, flexible, self-motivated, and able to work in a team environment with limited direct supervision
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Able to work well in a dynamic and agile environment while leading the team in execution of various priorities and related deliverables
* Experience with different investment types and structures
* Able to build and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional groups
* CPA, CFA, CMA, or equivalent designations

The AENB Strategy and Execution Team is looking for a Business Execution, Customer Remediation Manager that will ensure Customer Remediation is executed in an accurate and complete manner across all Lines of Business. Their primary responsibility will be collaborating across business units to understand varying and often complex scenarios requiring financial and non-financial remediation of customers. They will need to work closely across lines of business and understand relevant risk governance frameworks including those related to issues management to help effectuate accurate and complete financial and non-financial remediation through platforms and processes that are owned by this team.
The successful candidate will be a strong compliance professional with a risk and control mindset that excels at cross-functional collaboration.
