About this job:
Performs a variety of professional, technical, and administrative tasks in developing and administering high quality assessments and correlating resources, including Student Learning Objectives (SLOs). Interprets public school rules, laws, and policies regarding assessment. Trains school personnel in proper administration and creation of common assessments, analysis of data, and SLOs. Interprets changes to the District curriculum and Colorado standards, ensuring assessments, resources, and SLOs are aligned, and informs teachers and principals of the implications of these changes.

What You'll Do:
Assumes a lead role in a particular content area.
Develops assessment items to be used on District assessments and in the District item bank and develops model SLOs and learning progressions for content area assigned.
Collaborates with other departments in the management, development, and analysis of District-supported assessments and SLOs.
Utilizes the District's item banking system to modify and catalog items as needed.
Provides support and training in the use of various assessments, including semester and course assessments, common formative assessments, and item bank developed interim assessments; assists teachers and administrators with tools and resources to aid instruction.
Develops and provides training and staff development in the areas of assessment administration, ethical assessment practices, and the use of assessment information for instructional improvement.
Assists the Research Team in the development or modification of assessment reports; conducts analyses of assessment results; and supports schools in interpreting assessment results, linking results to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Works with network staff to provide support and professional development to District schools in the areas of SLOs, assessment literacy, and the use of online systems to deliver assessments and assessment results electronically.
Collaborates with Curriculum and Instruction personnel on various projects and reports; prepares and conducts presentations for various groups; and responds to administration and school requests for information.
Monitors SLO submissions for content area assigned, determining quality of SLOs and collaborating with schools to create next steps to address SLOs that are not of high quality.
Contributes to the ongoing development and implementation of the SLO system, providing support, communication, and training for SLOs to school leaders and teachers.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field is required.
Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience.
Three (3) or more years of substantial knowledge of and experience working with Colorado Academic Standards and/or Common Core State Standards.
Three (3) or more years of experience in item development (constructed response, selected response and performance based tasks), assessment creation, rubric development, and item analysis.
Valid Colorado Driver's License, appropriate insurance coverage, and acceptable driving record for the past three years.
The ability to take responsibility for one's own performance.
Ability to understand and interpret assessment data.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.

This part-time position provides drug and alcohol assessment, psychosocial, and pharmacological treatment to adults who are living with a substance use disorder (SUD), including Opiate Use Disorder in an outpatient setting. This clinical position is responsible for performing counseling duties and will be supervised by the Clinical Director. This position will maintain an ongoing caseload and complete corresponding documentation of client's behavior, progress, problems, etc. in a timely manner. Documentation will be maintained in an electronic health record database. Job Summary:
Synergy, the adolescent component of Addiction Research and Treatment Services, University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, seeks to fill an Adolescent Behavioral Health Therapist position in a community-based substance use treatment program. The therapist will be delivering an evidenced-based family therapy model called MST. The therapist will be delivering this model to Spanish and English-speaking families. Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is an evidenced-based model with the largest body of evidence of successful interventions for high-risk youth and has been recognized as a highly effective treatment by NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) and NIH (National Institute of Health). The model is present focused/action-oriented and focuses on strength-based, preventive strategies within the youth's natural ecology targeting family, peers, school, and neighborhood support systems.
The therapist will receive comprehensive training in the MST model. The MST therapist will implement this community-based treatment by providing Multisystemic therapy (MST) to families of adolescent substance users with a goal to retain youth in their homes and avoid out of home placement and involvement in the criminal justice system. The MST therapist will utilize the MST principals to develop interventions with the input and support of their supervisor and MST consultant. The implementation of this clinical model requires adherence and fidelity to the MST model, which the supervisor and MST consultant help guide. The MST therapist works independently but always has the support of their supervisor and has flexibility with their schedule as they schedule their own appointments based on the family's availability. The therapist is very well supported through weekly group supervision and consultation, in addition to individual supervision occurring weekly to every two weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide intensive treatment services using Multisystemic Therapy principles to a caseload of up to 6 active MST clients, which include daily contact via individual and family counseling, case management, staffing, advocacy, etc. in their home environment and community.
Provide home-based family therapy twice weekly utilizing the MST treatment model. Therapists may also participate in school meetings, staffing and court; these activities also require driving.
Available to clients and their families Monday through Friday, 24 hours a day via cell phone AND will participate in a weekend on-call coverage rotation.
Provide transition services to clients when they leave other formal residential/day treatment programs.
Balance job expectations around caseload, clinical contact and outcomes, and case management including paperwork.
Provide clinical evaluations and/or intake screenings to assess clinical appropriateness, individual treatment needs and recommendations.
Administer weekly urinalysis screens for (same sex) clients to track treatment progress/challenges.

Essential Duties:
Provide Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) Model of treatment to children, youth, and families who are involved in, or at risk of involvement in, the child welfare system, legal system, and/or hospital system. Closely coordinate care with other team members, including TST Skills Coach and Care Manager partners.
Work with consumers will regularly take place in the community or in the consumer's home. Non-clinical duties may be conducted across a hybrid work setting. Must be able to provide evening sessions at least three evenings per week (last session offered is 7pm).
Understand how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, so that every interaction is consistent with the recovery process and reduces the possibility of re-traumatization.
