Description
We are looking for a Licensed Psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In performing Disability Assessments, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal and perform a comprehensive assessment in person on each Veteran.
You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal.
The Licensed Psychologist DOES NOT make disability determinations. The U.S. Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations, in part using the findings recorded in the DBQs.
This role ONLY performs Disability Assessments on Veterans. You will NOT treat, and you will NOT prescribe medication in this position.
Licensed Psychologist will review and assess 4 Veterans per day on average.
Licensed Psychologist will be brought on as an Independent Contractor
Schedule 2+ days per week (8 am-5 pm)
This is an IN-PERSON position.

Overall Function
The Lead Counsel, U.S. Tax Incentives for Clean Solutions will serve as a senior member of Environmental Defense Fund's U.S. Legal and Regulatory team. The Lead Counsel will be responsible for developing and implementing high impact strategies on complex legal and regulatory policy matters related to federal tax incentives for clean affordable solutions that create jobs in the U.S. The work will entail important collaboration with key partners and allies and will incorporate EDF's core values, its abiding respect for all people, and supporting a culture where all staff can thrive.
The Lead Counsel position will help manage and collaborate with attorneys, analysts, consultants, and other experts to achieve and support progress on key priorities. This position will engage directly with senior policymakers, leading legal and regulatory experts, private sector leaders and associations, and NGO partners and allies. They will engage in strategic communications about the important benefits of clean affordable solutions in cutting costs and creating domestic jobs and the important role of tax investments in incentivizing these solutions. The Lead Counsel will report to the General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop integrated legal and regulatory strategy to protect and defend U.S. tax incentives that invest in clean affordable solutions with a focus on investments that reduce pollution in high emitting sectors.
Lead EDF's strategic engagement in complex federal regulatory, policy and legal tax and tax-related proceedings including litigation.
Work effectively with key policymakers, the private sector, and non-governmental partners and allies through rigorous engagement, collaboration, and professionalism.
Lead, collaborate with, mentor and support colleagues, legal fellows, interns and consultants who have legal, policy, and analytical expertise.
Effectively communicate benefits of tax investments for people and communities including cost savings, competitiveness, manufacturing and quality jobs, and energy security.
Participate in advancing EDF DEI goals in which people from all backgrounds and experiences feel connected, included, and empowered to address the environmental and organizational challenges in alignment with EDF values.
Develop strategic objectives, work plans and key results, engage in strategic planning, and incorporate nimble approaches that can rapidly adapt to changing contexts and unpredictable developments.

Lead collaboration with Development, develop strategic vision for resources to support and advance work, draft and contribute to Development proposals, reports and other fundraising materials, and participate and advance EDF outreach to members.

Qualifications
8+ years of relevant professional experience, a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, and current membership with good standing in the State Bar required.
Expertise in federal tax law incentivizing clean affordable solutions as well as extensive understanding of administrative law and proceedings, legal advocacy, and litigation.
History of achieving high impact progress in advancing clean affordable solutions through regulatory and administrative advocacy in complex proceedings, litigation, policy strategy, legislative efforts, and strategic engagement.
Demonstrated self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to represent an organization's interests in litigation and complex policy proceedings, before senior government officials, with senior leaders in the private sector, and in vibrant partnerships with non-governmental organizations and community-based organizations.
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative strategies, forge and operationalize path-breaking ideas and solutions, and create, recognize and build on key opportunities for progress.
Experience managing and mentoring attorneys and interns, technical experts, operations staff, and budgets.
Excellent legal research, analytical, public speaking, advocacy, and written and oral communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Acts as and engaged member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Regularly attends meetings and provides meaningful input.
Performs in-person initial assessments for enrolling participants to obtain a complete psychosocial history, which may include descriptions of cognitive status, social supports, family dynamics mental health and substance dependency and other issues and needs. Coordinates with the IDT to develop a comprehensive plan of care for each participant.
Reassesses participants on a semi-annual and as-needed basis and coordinates with the IDT to update the plan of care for each participant.
Responsible for the psychosocial wellbeing of participants in coordination with the IDT. Provides ongoing support and education to participants and family regarding a variety of issues, including but not limited to: the aging process, dementia, grief and loss, end of life, disease processes, difficult family dynamics and changing roles, PACE model and PACE health services.
Identifies, provides and/or coordinates for the medically related social, psychological and spiritual needs of the participants. Implements social work interventions, case management, or psychosocial support.
Support the IDT with acute and complex case management.
Acts as facilitator for meetings with participant, family, caregivers, and community agencies to clarify, or problem solves issues regarding the plan of care. Mediates discussions between all parties.

Co-Responder Therapist - Full Time - Delta, CO
The role of the Co-Responder Therapist is to work in collaboration with law enforcement and/or emergency medical technicians by responding to community members whose need for urgent intervention was reported through the Emergency Communication Center (911). The co-responder specializes in de-escalation, problem-solving, risk assessment, and community resource linkage at the point of law enforcement contact. It is the role of the co-responder to act as a first responder to issues related to behavioral health crises which may include mental illness, substance use, and social determinants of health. The co-responder will utilize a working knowledge of crisis intervention approaches to provide support, risk evaluation and triage services for all populations utilizing the 911 system within Delta County.
The co-responder works closely with a wide range of community partners including the Delta County Sheriff's Office, Delta Police Department and more. They will actively participate in patient continuity of care, brief counseling, referral, and prompt documentation. This includes an intense focus on community resourcing and linkage, requiring strong interpersonal skills and collaboration.
Co-responder teams demonstrate improved interactions between law enforcement, first responders, and the people they serve. Communities also recognize cost savings by connecting people to appropriate services and resources, rather than using more costly, higher-level interventions. When possible, the co-responder strives to divert individuals with behavioral health disorders from involvement with the criminal justice system, and instead engage them in treatment.
Our ideal candidate for our Co-Responder Therapist position will have bachelor's degree (Master's degree is preferred), in one of the recognized mental health professions and be Licensed or license eligible in the State of Colorado as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LAC, CAC III or PhD. They will also have experience in an emergency service setting or demonstrated competency. Crisis intervention experience preferred.

What does an MST therapist do?

Essential Duties:
* Provide Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) Model of treatment to children, youth, and families who are involved in, or at risk of involvement in, the child welfare system, legal system, and/or hospital system. Closely coordinate care with other team members, including TST Skills Coach and Care Manager partners.
* Work with consumers will regularly take place in the community or in the consumer's home. Non-clinical duties may be conducted across a hybrid work setting. Must be able to provide evening sessions at least three evenings per week (last session offered is 7pm).
* Understand how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, so that every interaction is consistent with the recovery process and reduces the possibility of re-traumatization.
* Demonstrate ability to work with families with diverse backgrounds, including awareness of cultural differences.
* Learn and creatively implement the Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) treatment model with all clients, families, and TST Teammates.
* Outreach, screen, and effectively plan for sessions to engage client to meet agreed upon therapeutic goals and objectives.
* Collaboratively create goals and objectives with client, family, and TST Teammates related to addressing trauma histories.
* Exhibit effective assessment and diagnostic skills.
* Identify risk factors including lethality, and effectively safety plan with client, family, and TST Teammates.

* As schedule allows, attend client court hearings as well as social services, school, probation, medication, and other community-based meetings. Must have strong understanding of professional boundaries in these settings.
* Refer and help connect clients to needed resources (housing, medication, transportation, education, state and federal benefits, etc.)
* Refer client to appropriate community providers after TST episode of care is complete.
Supervision & Development:
* Attend team meetings, supervisions, and mandatory in-services as scheduled.
* Participate in planned individual and weekly group supervision by coming prepared with an agenda. Report high risk/problem cases and utilize a problem-solving approach.
* Participate in trainings and staff development activities to enhance professional growth and follow individualized training plan.
* Volunteer to work on Center committees and/or task forces, as approved by supervisor.
Administrative & Compliance:
* Complete all TST Model paperwork required for fidelity.
* Maintain a shared client file with TST Teammates to document, conceptualize, strategize, and prioritize planned interventions.
