Power and Actuation Systems Business Unit Finance Director
The Power and Actuation Systems (PAS) Business Unit (BU) Finance Director serves as the Finance Business Partner to the PAS Business Unit Leader and is a direct report to Marotta's Chief Financial Officer. This director-level role oversees strategic financial activities, reporting, and decision-making, supporting direct and indirect functions including Program Management, Business Development, Customer Service, Engineering, Operations, and Accounting.
From estimating costs, prices, profitability, and cash flows of potential contracts to reporting and analyzing the financial performance of existing contracts and products, the PAS Finance team and its leader are developing a deep understanding of PAS product lines, production processes, and the value proposition offered to customers. The PAS BU Finance Director is responsible for aligning financial leadership for bids, sales, profitability, and cash flow objectives while managing and mentoring a team to deliver exceptional results.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education: B.S. in Business, Finance, or a technical field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
Experience:12-15 years in roles involving Finance, Program Management, Contracts, or Business Management.
Significant experience managing government contracts, including:
Contracts Management.
Proposal Development, Cost Estimating, and Pricing.
Finance (P&L) and Program Finance for contract and project accounting using the Percent Complete Method.
Project and Business Management.
Proven track record of supporting audits by Aerospace Prime Customers, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and Defense Contract Audit Agency.
Experience leading a team of 6-8 direct reports.
Skills:In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and enterprise financial systems.

Team Leadership & Development
Direct and mentor a team of 6-8 finance professionals, fostering professional growth and development.
Establish and standardize best practices for cost estimating, pre and post award support to bid teams, financial forecasting, and program financial management.
Strategic Finance Partnering
Serve as the primary finance partner to the PAS BU Leader, providing insights and guidance to achieve financial objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales, profitability, and cash flow goals.
Collaborate with General Accounting for recurring and non-recurring invoicing activity for milestone based and cost type contracts.
Program Finance & Reporting
Lead financial reporting and analysis for PAS programs, including:
Direct labor, material costs, and overhead allocations.
Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and related program reviews.
Development of Estimates to Complete (ETCs) and Estimates at Completion (EACs).
Conduct variance analysis on revenue, cost of sales, and gross margin compared to budget and forecast.
Deliver actionable insights on program progress and resource allocation.
Cost Estimating & Proposal Development
Oversee cost estimating and pricing for all major proposals and bids, including spares and repairs.
Ensure compliance with FAR for proposals exceeding $750K, serving as the Cost Volume Manager.
Lead customer and government audits of proposals, including engagement with the DCMA.
Provide guidance and training for developing robust Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
Financial Analysis & Forecasting
Direct multi-year financial modeling and forecasting for the PAS BU, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
Oversee rolling forecasts and support company-wide financial planning processes including Annual Operating Plans and Budgets.
Analyze working capital accounts and provide insight for variances impacting cash flow.
Additional Responsibilities
Actively contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Support audits and negotiations as a primary financial representative for the PAS BU.

Manager, Business Development
Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will act as the front of the company in customer engagements, expand our customer base, and will develop and apply an effective Business Development strategy. The BDM's main objective is to drive sustainable financial growth by forging strong relationships and thereby increasing sales with our customers. The BDM will educate customers about Marotta's products and services as well as match customer needs with Marotta's unique capabilities in order to increase business volume. The BDM will uncover opportunities in new or existing programs, contacting potential customers directly, and respond to customer needs, ultimately working with our technical and sales support teams, including local sales representation, to close new business. The successful BDM candidate will report to senior technical business development management.
Essential Or Primary / Key Responsibilities
Maintenance of a business opportunity pipeline/funnel, organized by life cycle from identification to closure, include action tracking, contacts, product and other pertinent details
Arranging business development meetings with prospective customers
Understand Marotta's control actuation and/or power electronics products applicable to military and commercial applications, and the ability to leverage products, working with our subject matter experts, to serve in new applications
Collaborating with proposal development teams, using established company process, to ensure requirements and submittal dates are met in response to customer requests for proposals, quotes and information
Work with contracts administration for review and execution of NDAs, PIAs, as well as terms and conditions of potential purchase orders

Awareness of FARs and DFARs with regards to government procurements and awareness of ITAR regulations
Strong sales process experience with an innate drive to succeed and take initiative
Strong organizational talents and ability to work under pressure and in new environments
Stakeholder management skills within the company, company sales representation and the customer base
Exemplary verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents, including but not limited to; vendors, suppliers, customers, potential job candidates, etc.

Work Environment
The Business Development Manager interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are 8 hours, Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend work are required, as job duties demand.

Responsibilities
Primary duty is to ensure that products perform their proposed functions in a satisfactory manner
Read, interpret documents (i.e. procedures, schematics/technical drawings, etc.) and use necessary measuring devices/equipment to confirm tooling/fixturing geometries and dimensions
Conduct all work in accordance with approved technical data, customer specifications and regulatory requirements including mil-specs
Set up and use electronic instruments, load testing devices, microscopes, various measuring instruments
Setup and operate tools required for assembly including, but not limited to; standard hand tools, load testing devices, micrometers, depth mics, calipers and microscopes
Setup and operate equipment required for testing including, but not limited to; multimeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, pressure, gauges and transducers, data recorders, load cells, and flow meters
Install, operate and maintain high-pressure nitrogen, helium and skydrol test equipment
Assemble products, install internal components; use arbor press/fixtures; apply lock wire and torque seal
Conduct end-of-line functional testing on valve components and record results
Assist with testing equipment maintenance and/or repair
Maintain accurate parts and part count for each job
Identify causes for test failures, perform rework, and submit suggestions for corrective action to supervisor for approval
Seek, document, and support Lean ideas to improve the efficiencies of the company
Maintain all hand tools in clean working condition
Notify supervisor of any equipment that requires repair
Properly handle and dispose of chemicals used, utilizing proper PPE (as required)

Senior Project Engineer
Position Summary:
The Sr. Project Engineer is responsible for leading technical teams on new product development projects in our Control Actuation Systems (PAS) Department. This individual will be part of a development team creating embedded systems for the manipulation and control of flight actuation systems. Activities for this role include requirements definition and management, planning of technical tasks for the team, review designs, integration and testing, release documentation and system validation. The qualified candidate will have either Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering training and experience. Overview:

Maintains historical database of quotes.
Assist Program Management on a daily basis with programmatic financials.

Overview
The Engineer II - Mechanical is responsible for designing products to meet customer's requirements including all design, functional, material, and test requirements from the customer's component and sub-tier specifications. Work Environment
This job interacts in a professional office environment, Engineering Lab, and manufacturing environments. This is a full-time position. Overtime and weekend may be required as job duties demand.
Some travel may be expected for this position (20%) including Test Labs (e.g. EMI), vendor, and customer visits.
Minimum Required Qualifications
B.S in Engineering is required as a minimum - Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent. Advanced technical degree is desirable for this position.
2-5 years design experience with a variety of valves and fluid control devices preferred
Knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls
Solid analytical skills are required: stress analysis, heat transfer, fluid flow
Ability to solve complex mechanical, static and dynamic problems
Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and compressible flow

CMM Programmer (Second Shift)
Overview:
The CMM programmer is responsible for creating and developing direct-computer control (DCC) programs for coordinate-measuring machines and complex test/inspection equipment to perform layout dimensional inspection of mechanical hardware using Marotta drawings to assure accurate measurements are taken in a timely and efficient manner. This position reports to the Manager Quality Control to provide support to Incoming Inspection and In-process Inspection to determine acceptability of parts for First Article, First Piece and normal inspection. The CMM Programmer works with Quality, Engineering, and Operations personnel. Shift differential applies. Work Schedule 4:30 pm to 2:30 am Mondays to Thursdays.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
* Technical school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Minimum 5-7 years' experience at test and inspection in a manufacturing or production environment with mechanical parts
* Experience in quality and source inspection on machined/mechanical parts using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
* The candidate must have prior CMM programming experience. Experience with Optical and mechanical tools/ measuring instruments for inspections is desired
* ISO9001 / AS9100 knowledgeable. Familiar with AQL, sampling methods and traceability.
* Strong verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents

Primary / Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and update CMM programs on current and new part number launches to meet customer specifications
* Program, run, and inspect parts, gages, and tooling on a CMM, as part of the Quality Control function, and print to CAD
* Perform layouts
* Read, understand and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
* Coordinate with customer, suppliers, Engineering, Operations, and other sources to resolve issues and meet goals
* Support troubleshooting and corrective actions
* Read and analyze CMM reports
* Maintain CMM machines to include probe qualifications, regular cleaning and inspection of scales
* Report on fixtures needed to hold products for inspection during product development; sets criteria for instruments and specifications
* Communicate with the Quality department to develop inspection methods, tool mapping, First Article Inspections (FAI's), and in process checks
* Revise product programs and documents based on engineering changes, as required
* Maintain the Program library in an organized manner so personnel can access information to verify inspection criteria
* Optimize the inspection process by identifying Quality bottlenecks that hinder production
* Inspect products using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, scales, oscilloscope and vision prior to shipment
* Perform inspections with calipers, radius gauges, single-axis laser scanner, comparators, and measurement machines
* Perform Mechanical measurements and visual quality assessments of received items, work-in-progress, and finished goods
* Create defect notes for inspected product found to be unacceptable
* Generate spreadsheets for data collection
* Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments
* Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
* Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
* Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work
* Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database
* Ensure measurement equipment is operational and properly calibrated , according to operating instructions and manage repairs

Technical Director, Business Development - (Electronic Systems)
Position Profile:
The Technical Director role completes and contributes to the growth of the Electronic Systems group through the issuance and support of technical proposals, Marotta capability presentations and technical discussions. The Technical Director has extensive expertise in products and/or technologies in the Electronic Systems segments. and is responsible for technical support of the Business Development team. The role is also responsible for identifying and pursuing new customers and platforms for these products and/or technologies through proposal and presentation support.
This role is responsible for the technical support of the proposal Bid Manager and working with engineering as the voice of the customer during early opportunity development and discussions with the purpose of attaining an RFI and/or RFP.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
* 5-7 years' relevant work experience in high performance Electronic Systems in the Aerospace and Military industries and can be considered a subject matter expert in an area related to these products and technologies
* Familiarity with government contractual procurement procedures, standards, and quality requirements
* Exemplary verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as all outside agents, including but not limited to vendors, suppliers, customers, potential job candidates, etc.
* Highly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.
* The ability to achieve expert knowledge of the Marotta product portfolio and Tactical Systems engineering capabilities.
* Considerable experience in the best practices in the design, development, fabrication test and transition to production of Electronic Systems.
* Must be a US Citizen
Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:
* Review and assess compliance with the customer's specifications and sub-level specifications.
* Coordinate with engineering on system level architecture and technical approach
* Review the Marotta Product Portfolio for potential of design re-use.
* Responsible for leading and constructing the technical proposal response consisting of:
* Review of the supplied customers Bid Instructions, if applicable
* Issuance of the proposal outline and base proposal than can be leveraged.
* Assignment of proposal section write up responsibilities and support the technical write up.
* Completion of the technical response for customer submittal
* Responsible for initial business development customer discussions and presentation formulation for new opportunities.
* Update and maintain the Tactical CAS capabilities presentation.
* Support technical capabilities discussions with the customer.
* Coordinate the creation of a preliminary bill of material in the business system and verifying its accuracy.
Additional Duties / Responsibilities:
* Position may entail the roles and responsibilities of a Project Engineer; such roles include initial system sizing, working with design engineering on proposal design, support of small engineering activities and support of the Technical Road Map.

Position Profile
As a Technician on our space production team, you will assist in the assembly, calibration, and testing of solenoid valves used on rockets. Our valves play a key role in mission critical functions such as first-stage attitude control thrust generation, pneumatic stage separation, fuel pressurization, and engine ignition.
At our state-of-the-art heated and air-conditioned manufacturing facility in Montville, NJ, you'll work with our cross-functional production and engineering team to achieve quality and on-time delivery goals.
Responsibilities
Your overall responsibility will be to ensure that the products you build perform their intended functions reliably. You must be able to complete work as directed, in compliance with internal processes. Specific responsibilities include:
* Product Assembly
* Set up and operate assembly tools (e.g., standard hand tools, micrometers, calipers)
* Assemble products per written procedures and/or schematics
* Perform visual inspections
* Product Test
* Set up and operate test equipment (e.g., multimeters, pressure gauges and transducers, flow meters)
* Operate high pressure nitrogen and helium test equipment
* Conduct functional testing of valve products and record results
* Troubleshoot and rework products
* Issue Resolution
* Manage or escalate issues impacting assembly and test, communicating with other technicians and team lead as necessary

Overview
The incumbent must be a machinist who works in research and development to create products based on specifications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Information Security Analyst is responsible for the analysis, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of Marotta Controls' infrastructure and information security program. The role offers advice, provides technical information regarding proposed projects, analyzes potential new infrastructure components, monitors infrastructure for performance, resolves user issues, analyzes information security metrics, and documents information security policies.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
* Must be a US citizen.
* Two to four years' experience monitoring and creating information security policies and metrics.
* Strong familiarity with ManageEngine and/or other File Analysis and Data Security Platforms.
* Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management Tools, preferably Sumo Logic.
* Basic understanding of the project management life cycle.
* Thorough understanding of Secure Coding Principles and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* The ability to read and understand code, specifically JavaScript, Python, and SQL.
