QCDP Performance: · Assure QCD indicators reflect customer expectations. · Commits to targets agreed during PIC/PDP process (direct labour headcount, shift organization, overtime, delivery schedules, pph) · Define, for each supervisor, QCDP targets (improvement versus actual situation): ppm, pph, TRS, absenteeism, number of accidents, improvement ideas, etc. · Monitor results on a shift basis and report data daily - especially during the plant management Top 5. · Manage resources to reach results: adapt headcount to volume (number of people, number of shifts), optimize equipment usage (TRS). · React in case of a problem: take care of immediate containment, call support functions if necessary, and build corrective action plans. · Drive actions for improvement: o Define area for performance improvements o Drive teamwork and problem-solving activities, lead Problem Solving Groups (QRCI) and workshops (5S, Hoshin, TPM, SMED, 7 Quality Basics) o Optimize UAP lay-out and material flow · Ensure manufacturing readiness for new products launched in UAP (line preparation, team training, target definition, specs fine tuning). · Participate to early steps in new product launches. · Define threshold and escalation of reaction modes to problems within UAP. · Manage Manufacturing Cost Budget. · Drive process improvement for equipment. o Close management of Production through presence on the shop floor (30% of time attendance approx.) and daily management of the supervisors o Strict control of headcount daily o Coach supervisors in how to perform their role o Support and help to solve problems o Coordinate activities of support functions (problem solving, continuous improvement) o Review of Improvement Ideas and support on implementation as needed. o Ensure discipline and rigor (work wear, break times, working hours, etc.) o Ensure the respect of HSE instructions, policies, and procedures · Development of the team: o Coach Supervisors on how to better solve problems and how to devote 30% of their time to improvement actions o Define staffing needs for UAP o Participate to selection and recruitment of staff o Ensure proper induction of newcomers o Define training plan to increase team autonomy; ensure training and coaching of team members o Manage annual performance interviews for all direct reports o Plan development of the people (validation and support from Plant Manager and Human Resources Manager when appropriate): training, job evolution, etc. o Define the UAP strategy in term of polyvalence and poly-competence o Ensure recognition upon individual performance: propose promotion and merit increase; take part of the decision process o Ensure proper flow of information to and from direct reports: top 5, regular information meetings, rapid cascade of critical information and of messages from management Teamwork: · Ensure transparent timely communication with Plant Manager and other UAP Managers. · Participate to the continuous improvement of plant performance. · Ensure monthly information meeting within the UAP.
