Reads blueprints and user manuals to determine proper function and installation of electrical equipment. Utilizes machine information to diagnose and troubleshoot issues. Collaborates with production personnel to understand equipment failures and determines the most effective course of action for resolution. Assists in replacing motors and other electrical components. Sizes, bends and installs new conduit runs. Assists the Plant Engineering Manager in determining work procedures. Ensures all work complies with federal, state, and local electrical codes, including the NEC and NFPA70e. Collaborates with the Sims Metal Engineering Group to uphold internal standards and recommendations.
