Development Machinist (Naval Systems)
Overview
The incumbent must be a machinist who works in research and development to create products based on specifications. They use a variety of tools and machines to cut, shape, and finish materials. an individual who can multi-task and perform various machine shop related activities which are to be conducted in a manner that complies with company requirements (i.e., regulatory, safety, administrative, etc.). This position requires effective interaction with a broad spectrum of people within the organization to successfully support operations and the corporate strategic vision.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of related experience involving set-up and operation of precision CNC Turning Centers and set-up/operation of precision (high tolerance), machine shop equipment in an effective, efficient, safe and consistent manner (Aerospace mfg. environment preferred).
High School/(GED) Diploma or Vocational/Technical school equivalent
Self-motivated individual who possesses the ability to analyze, organize, plan, multi-task and achieve results through effective interaction with others.
