What you will do:
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, and CAD design.
Select appropriate cutting tools, work holding fixtures, and materials for the job.
Loading material into CNC machines and performing safe and accurate set-up.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks with the use of complex measuring equipment.
Operating lifting devices in a safe manner (forklifts, overhead cranes).
Willing to work Overtime when required to meet deadlines.

1st Shift, flexible schedule options:
5x8 Mon - Fri (7:30 am - 4:00 pm)
4x10 Mon-Thu / Tues-Fri (6:30 am - 5:00 pm)
2nd and 3rd shift available, 4x10 schedule options Monday - Thursday: *20% shift premium
2nd Shift: 4:45 pm - 2:45 am
3rd Shift: 8:45 pm - 6:45 am
What you will bring:

3+ years of CNC & Manual Machining Experience with tight tolerance and various materials.
Ability to interpret code/programs and make minor adjustments when necessary.

The CNC Set-up Operator must have experience in the set-up, operation, editing, and shop floor programming capabilities for various types of CNC milling centers (Hass, Okuma, DMG, etc.).
The CNC Set-up Operator must have the ability to do both complex and routine set-ups on CNC mills, with proven and unproven CNC programs to obtain the first article on multiple machine types. They must be able to read, interpret blueprints, conduct work piece inspections and able to understand both M and G codes.
Here's what you'll need to be considered for this exciting opportunity:
Minimum two (2) years of operating CNC Milling Machines, including but not limited to 2, 3, 4, and 5-axis machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements.
Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jog borers, grinders, and shapers.
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

Machining Setup

Ability to edit and troubleshoot programs for process improvements.
Observe numerical control displays on the control panel and compare with the data on the process plan to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts.
Inspects first run pieces and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications using operation certification knowledge.
Utilizes various types of inspection instruments to check work per print.
Completes necessary job-related paperwork to include tags, inspection documents, and production log.
Perform basic equipment maintenance: proper coolant levels, filters, fan operation, cleans machine, etc.
Use manual machines as needed to make workholding fixtures and other small quantity parts.
Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Read and interpret process plans, blueprints, and part sketches to determine necessary machining, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
* Ability to edit pre-written programs.
* Ability to edit and troubleshoot programs for process improvements.
* Observe numerical control displays on the control panel and compare with the data on the process plan to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts.
* Inspects first run pieces and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications using operation certification knowledge.
* Utilizes various types of inspection instruments to check work per print.
* Completes necessary job-related paperwork to include tags, inspection documents, and production log.
* Perform basic equipment maintenance: proper coolant levels, filters, fan operation, cleans machine, etc.
* Use manual machines as needed to make workholding fixtures and other small quantity parts.
* Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
