As a member of the Atlanta Service Center, Machining Department, you will be an active contributor to the Steam Turbine Repair. This role will require you to setup and operate manual and numerically controlled machine tools as well as assemble and disassemble turbine components.
Our Machinist position is a full-time onsite position at our Chamblee, GA facility. New hires will work our 1st shift work schedule of Monday-Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM ET during training. New hires will move to our 2nd shift work schedule of Monday-Friday 4:10PM - 1:00AM ET after training is complete. Overtime is available but not mandatory. Opportunities to switch shifts is based on business need and customer demand.
Job Description
Your Role:

Manual Machinist Job Description:
Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and other machine shop equipment
Utilize micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and roughness gauges to ensure precision
Measure critical fits on parts using precision measuring equipment to tolerances as tight as 0.0001"
Apply knowledge of Machining Best Practices to maintain high-quality standards
Must have a minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience (10+ years preferred) as a manual machinist
CNC machine operating experience cannot be considered for this role
