CNC Lathe Machinist Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC turning machine centers, specifically Doosan and DMG Mori machines, with Twin Spindle.
Perform MDI (Manual Data Input) programming for efficient part production.
Conduct manual inspection using gauges and instruments to ensure part quality before submitting to the Quality Department for CMM inspection.
Understand GD&T and interpret complex 2-D drawings.
Monitor and inspect parts throughout the machining process.
Follow company quality and safety procedures.

Participate in Lean manufacturing events to improve processes.
CNC Lathe Machinist Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Must have a strong knowledge base of a variety of creative setup methods, outside of standard work holding.

+ Ability to read design prints, understand geometric design & tolerancing (GD&T) and surface finish requirements.
+ Strong aptitude for using dial indicators, ID and OD micrometers, and other inspection equipment.
+ Ability to set up and run CNC machinery, Horizontal Milling Centers, boring mills, engine or turret lathes, radial or horizontal drilling machines, external/internal grinders.
+ Have the understanding of G&M Codes, CNC program reading, ability to make edits as needed.
+ Ability to operate equipment such as key-seaters, broaches, band saws, sanding equipment, grinders post drills, hydraulic press and propane or oxy-acetylene heating equipment.
+ Understand carbide tooling, feeds and speeds for the machining application.
+ Ability to be certified in overhead crane, Jib crane and forklift operation.
