A day in the life…
As a Machinist in the maintenance team, you will play a key role in the entire chocolate production process. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment to ensure that every piece of candy leaving our facility meets the high-quality standards our customers expect. Your expertise will directly impact the precision and reliability of our production lines, ensuring only the finest products make it to the customer.
Typical Hours for this role will be Monday-Thursday 3:45pm-2:15am.
What you will be doing…

Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment.
Reading and understanding the specifications or blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and other equipment information to complete the project. Also, fixing broken parts and carrying out the same machining operations that were required to produce the original piece.
Operating and maintaining milling machines, grinders, and lathes, equipment and tools in a safe and proficient manner according to guidelines, standards and instructions.
Machines material by cutting, drilling, boring, turning, milling, planning, and grinding.
Maintenance machinists make new or fix existing parts for machinery. Finishing and assembling parts by hand and uses scribers, gauges, and other instruments to achieve accuracy.
Remains up to date on information about new technology in materials, methods and equipment.
Perform clean-ups as required.
Must be able to use/operate AutoCAD.
Maybe assigned other duties by plant management as required.
Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines to ensure product quality and uphold food safety standards.
Learning to Identify and address potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities, while maintaining proactive communication with supervisors.
Documenting food safety and quality procedures, maintaining detailed records of monitoring, verification, and corrective actions.

Monitors setups and run time to ensure the correct time is recorded on the routing
Records and notifies Planner and/or Machine Shop Manager when a work-order is not provided with a part

Shifts Available:
Night Shift is 4:00pm - 2:30am Monday to Thursday
3-day weekends and opportunity for overtime available!
Competitive Wages:
Starting wage for this position is $15.00/hour. Pay is negotiable and based on applicant's education and/or work experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at Natoma Manufacturing.
