WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Mill operators use machinery to ensure our product is clean and up to customer standards before we ship it out. Mill operators maintain and service the machinery to ensure it's always in tip-top shape. This position requires individuals to be safety-minded, have strong attention to detail, and be mechanically inclined.
* Read and understand daily production schedule and material requirements.
* Set-up and operation of mill equipment with correct materials and product based on order specifications.
* Discharging mill contents.
* Maintaining mill production records.
* Sample and grade product according to customer specifications.
* Completing and maintaining required documentation on product, materials/supplies, output and machine downtime.
* Assist in troubleshooting minor milling problems and make appropriate adjustments on equipment, and perform minor maintenance duties
* Communicate with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
* Comply with company safety policies and maintain clean and orderly work area.
* Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
* Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE NEED
MUST-HAVES:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Basic computer skills including touch screens
NICE-TO-HAVES:
* 1+ years of milling experience
WORK CONDITIONS
* Frequently (more than 75% of time) required to: stand and/or walk, use ladders and climb stairs, bend and stoop, reach, push/pull, kneel and crouch. Lift, carry and/or move items up to 100 pounds, without assistance; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, to verbally communicate; and to hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently exposed to a non-climate controlled environment.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm What Machine Operation contributes to Cardinal Health Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Responsibilities:
* The Machine Operator will set up and run light industrial semi-automated equipment to make a variety of medical devices
* Operate in-house machines safely - identify emergency stops and stop the process when safety issues are identified, and report safety concerns
* Participate in loading, packaging, and labeling operations in a routine and repetitious manner prior to shipment
* Assemble goods on production line
* Start and maintain machines, observe for correct operation, and adjust as needed
* Move empty and full bags/totes/boxes to and from the machine, add labels/weigh product/verify count/add to box/insert into shipper as needed, and stack onto pallet
* Review in-process/finished material while operating - inform designated teammates of any machine malfunction or defective product
* Maintain cleaning documentation and safety check documentation in the company system
* Practice department's medical manufacturing and housekeeping procedures and complete cleaning verification checklists as required
Qualifications:
* 0-1 years of experience, preferred
* High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
