Job Description
The Machine Operator may be assigned to the embossing, sealing, or inspection departments to support the needs of the business. In this role, you will be assigned to one of three shifts (1st Shift, 2nd Shift, or 3rd Shift). The shift schedules are Monday-Friday and the hours for each are as follows: 1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm, 2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm, 3rd Shift 11:00pm-7:30am. *3rd shift Monday starts at 11:00pm Sunday night. Training for this position will take place on 1st Shift. You must be able to complete your training on 1st Shift before moving to 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift. Ensure when packed, individual boxes are properly glued and are of first quality.
Use motorized material handling equipment to move materials in and out of the work area
Keep accurate record of production
Accomplish these tasks through the safe and efficient use of rewind and packaging equipment, motorized material handling equipment and the application of all company required good housekeeping practices
Strictly adhere to and be aware of all Company health, safety and environmental policies and practices
Deal with the Lead Hand, Set up Specialist, Production Supervisor, other Machine Operators, Operator Packers, Set-up personnel and Maintenance personnel
Ensure that personal interactions with all plant workers and management are professional and courteous as is reasonable to ensure efficient plant operations
Perform most tasks based on well-known and understood Company standard practices and procedures
Overcome presented challenges in the determination of the cause of poor-quality materials or when poor equipment performance cannot be rectified

This position will also make adjustments to equipment as needed to accurately produce quality product that meets customer specifications. The Machine Operator II is also responsible for labeling, packaging, and quality assurance checks of all products produced on the filling lines.
What You Will Do:
* Responsible for referencing the work order to set up the production line appropriately
* Lead the process for setting up the production filling lines and operating in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
* Facilitate and lead any adjustments needed to settings and make repairs, as required, to obtain product specifications and quality standards
* Document activities accurately per GMP as required using Product History Records (PHRs)
* Ensure the bottles placed on the line have been checked for quality
* Monitor to ensure the product filling and packaging equipment are effectively operating
* Make necessary adjustments to ensure correct fill has been established
* Communicate to manufacturing leaders any product that does not meet quality standards
* Ensure all correct raw materials are used during appropriate production run
* Complete and report all documentation and production logs
* Troubleshoot issues on filling equipment in order to get the production line running quickly and efficiently
* Meet and exceed the production requirements based on the capacity for each filling line
* Establish and maintain appropriate work pace to meet all production goals
* Assist with the completion of necessary training for other manufacturing personnel
* Ensure all proper quality procedures are followed
* Follow all safety guidelines according to company and OSHA standards
* Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
* Operate forklift and pallet lift as needed

Job Responsibilities:
Manually pick and place small components onto specified areas.
Operate tools such as, but not limited to; drills, mono-bolt guns, and wrenches during the assembly process.
Read electrical blueprints and install components such as relays, controls and other types of controllers on electrical panels; Read all SOP and guidelines as they pertain to the job duties.
Receive parts kit from inventory; Examine parts for defects such as pinholes or chips.
Build and fulfill requirements needed; work closely with engineering, quality, and shipping department to ensure product is completed and shipped on time.
Willingness to move to a variety of workstations and perform a multitude of tasks.
Follow policies and instructions that pertain to quality work standards and production quality.
Promote safety and apply 5s principles; clean, dust, sweep, mop, tape, and organize your work area.
Must be able to work well in a team setting and be willing to collaborate with others as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED strongly preferred; candidates with prior experience without the preferred education will be considered.
Basic computer skills required.
