Forge Press Operator performs any combination of following tasks in forging plant: Moves workpieces from furnace to hammer anvil, using tongs or hoist. Opens and closes electrically controlled furnace doors to assist steel press crew. Positions and turns workpieces and work aids during forging by HEAVY FORGER. Replaces forge crew tools in specified racks. Assist in installing dies used in forging operations. May also cut material to specified size with handsaw, and smooth parts with bench grinder, remove cracks in ingots, billets, or forgings, using swing grinder.

· Program a lathe for roughing operation
· Load and unload automated blast units
· Operate a band saw and snippers to fettle product
· Operate a lathe and mill when needed
· General daily housecleaning
· Load forgings into heat treat ovens
· Load and unload product into crates or baskets for outsource heat treating and shipping
· Operate the laser machine when needed
· Transport product in wire baskets with the use of a pallet jack
· Use hand die grinders and sanders to bench product
· Work with the team to meet customer expectations on quality and delivery
· Responsible for keeping accurate documentation
· Stand for long periods of time

The operator will hand load the materials into the machine and remove them once cured. The operator must be able to visually inspect the finished parts. I am looking for people for the night shift 11pm-7am Monday-Friday
The pay is $15.20 per hour with unlimited overtime.
Saturdays pay time and a half and Sundays pay double time.

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Art Manager, the Graphics Pre-Press Technician processes customer files, pre-flighting the jobs and preparing them for imaging directly to plate, ensuring the highest quality products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive customer files. Pre-flight the files according to departmental procedures, checking for trapping, overprinting, proper resolution, color corrections, and building proper files for output. Convert to CMYK as required.
Ensure files meet customer specifications, making any necessary corrections and output proofs.
Check proofs for accuracy. Send directly to plate.
Ensure the customer has signed off on the job.
Archive jobs for possible future use.
Read and understand all job requirements before beginning the desktop process.
Copy all information to be used from the customer's disk.
Ensure trapping is correct.
Position copy according to specifications.
Proofreads and approves orders.
Ask questions, report all problems, and perform all necessary clean-up and corrections before files are released for film output.
Compare the completed digital file to the job order before release.
Interface with customers, the sales department, customer service, and other employees to address and resolve any problems.
Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, ongoing improvement of processes, methods, productivity, and quality while reducing costs.
Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry.
Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Arts/Education or equivalent experience in graphics, including art and image assembly functions. 2 - 5 years of printing experience is desired.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Proficient with MAC computers.
Excellent knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation & composition.
Careful attention to detail and high expectations for quality.
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to read and use a ruler.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must understand printing tolerances.
Work within a self-managed team concept.
Excellent communication, interaction, and problem-solving skills. Provide technical assistance to graphics personnel and internal and external customers.
