Provides patient, family and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support surfaces, dressing selections and other therapies. Is a resource person for physicians wound team and clinical staff. Conduct wound rounds weekly and provide report to the Director of Nursing Requirements: Registered Nursing in New York - 3-5 years' experience Wound Certification is preferred but not required. Minimum of 1-year experience in Wound Care at a SNF Basic knowledge regarding the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, arterial, venous and diabetic wounds as well as other wounds such as surgical wounds Organized and detail-oriented Flexible and dependable Able to work independently & efficiently Familiar with Electronic Medical Records (Sigma Care) Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Participates in the performance improvement plan of the organization. Job Type: Full-time Shift: M-F Pay: $58.00 - 65.00 per hour
