ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop lending relationships to self-source loan referrals to generate loan volume within the market area.
Educate prospective & existing partners of Wings mortgage programs & requirements.
Partner with mortgage business development to engage in marketing and promotional activities to increase prospects.
Spend at least one or two hours a day, two or more times a week, outside of the office (including a home office building a referral network).
Gather all necessary information and documentation for analysis, disclosure, and underwriting loan application.
Educate members regarding financing options, rates & products to ensure they receive the appropriate product to meet their needs.
Utilizes automated underwriting system as an underwriting tool to ensure borrower meets applicable loan guidelines.
Strong understanding of compliance requirements including state specific lending requirements for those states that Wings Credit Union offers financing. Including attorney requirements and community property laws.
Effectively communicate and coordinate with member, realtor, underwriter, processor and closer to ensure closing dates are met.
Develop and maintain a high degree of visibility for SbCU and Wings Credit Union in the marketplace.
Stay informed of investor guidelines, market conditions, and competitor rates & products to best align products with borrower needs.
Maintain a commitment to professional development by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining business networks.
Adheres to QC standards identified in performance plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree preferred.
3 years mortgage Loan Officer experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Maintain communication via phone and email with branches and title regarding status of files.
Assist the Loan Delivery Department with post-closing conditions.
Provide support to other Closers, as needed, due to volume or absence.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Complete any additional duties assigned by management.
Complete regulatory and compliance training, as required.
Assist WMC employees and departments as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Five years' experience in mortgage loan closing (all loan types - conventional, government, bond) is required.
