Heritage Bank has an exciting opportunity to join our organization! We are seeking a Small Business Administration (SBA) Loan Processor at our Everett, Washington office. The SBA Loan Processor is responsible for processing approved SBA loans through post-closing, and ensures compliance with all Bank and SBA policies, procedures and government regulations. The successful candidate:
Provides exceptional level of customer service around all aspects of the banking relationship and SBA process with a focus on the processing aspects in conjunction with the SBA Lending Officer and/or Commercial Banker assigned to the relationship.
Independently interacts with prospective and existing clients to collect information both for SBA approval and loan closing including, but not limited to, SBA Form 1919, updated financial information as necessary, entity documentation, leases, etc.
Independently and accurately enters data into SBA software application to submit loans for SBA approval.
Orders, collects, reviews and coordinates all pre-closing due diligence documentation prior to closing of SBA (7a and 504) loans, to include but is not limited to: company formation documents, Form 4506, flood certification, title policy, survey, environmental, insurance coverage, real estate tax status, collateral description, UCC search, invoices, bill of sale, etc.
Upon assignment of approved SBA loan(s), thoroughly reviews files (both digital and physical) for completion and efficiently assembles a final checklist of items necessary to gain SBA approval as well as close loan.
Communicates with customers and bankers on a regular basis to ensure loans move through pipeline in a timely and efficient manner. Resolve problems, issues or questions, both verbally and in writing, to ensure customer satisfaction and to maintain productive relationships with other bank staff / departments.
Partners with lender and/or meets with customer and escrow to sign closing documents.
Completes and tracks post-closing requirements, as required, i.e. closing package to customer, set up ticklers, close out and follow SBA protocol scanning set-up in a timely and accurate manner, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Works with escrow to obtain all items necessary for disclosure e.g. estimated HUD, preliminary title report, closing protection letter and wire instructions
Prepares LE, fee worksheet and all disclosures, orders appraisal and run credit
Package and submit complete files to operations through Encompass program
Upon receipt of loan approval, works with the loan officer, loan coordinator, and escrow officer to clear all prior to doc conditions and funding conditions
Prepares doc request and submits to loan coordinator
Arranges signing for borrower with escrow officer
Works with funder, loan officer and escrow officer to clear funding conditions
Minimum Requirements:
Have MLO license for WA State

The SBA Loan Processor is responsible for processing approved SBA loans through post-closing, and ensures compliance with all Bank and SBA policies, procedures and government regulations. Review, collect, and fulfill underwriting conditions.
Evaluate appraisals, title policies, credit reports, and income verifications.
Examine supporting documentation and investigate any inconsistencies to identify potential fraud or misrepresentation.
Ensure re-disclosures are prepared and delivered to the member within regulatory guidelines based on identified change in circumstance.
Prepare and deliver documents in an accurate and timely manner adhering to regulatory requirements.
Coordinate loan closing, recording, and funding with escrow.
Review signed closing documents to ensure accuracy, proper execution, and completeness.
Prepare and disburse loan.
Perform post-closing responsibilities including packaging and shipping investor loans.
Prioritize and monitor daily workload to meet company timeline expectations and lock expirations.
Meet minimum monthly goals established by management.
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all credit union mortgage products.
Control risk and perform duties in a safe and sound manner maintaining awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities.
Understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions applicable to job responsibilities.
Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as directed and approved by leadership.
Maintain a dependable record of attendance and commitment.
Maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly attitude and display mutual respect, trust, and dignity while acting in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example always displaying solid ethics and integrity.
Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
Willingly perform other job-related projects and duties as assigned, self-initiating assistance and requesting assistance from team members when appropriate.

Qualifications What You Will Need:
High school diploma or equivalent completion of specialized course of study, training, and experience Minimum of two years of mortgage processing experience required.
One year experience processing Correspondent, FHA and VA loans preferred.
Knowledge in reviewing and analyzing basic income calculations.
Experience with loan origination software, electronic file storage systems, and AUS required.
Proficient with standard Microsoft Office Suite.
Some travel is required to achieve training and business objectives.
Valid Driver's License is required.
