Full-time Description
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in assisting consumer loan officers with the processing of loan requests with a focus on direct loan applications.
General loan responsibilities:
Process vehicle loans initiated from the lending operating system
Verify loan files for accuracy, completeness and to ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements including but not limited to interest rate, collateral value, payment calculation, payment schedule.
Input loan data into loan operating system.
Analyze supporting documentation, utilize credit reports to verify accuracy of loan application, and forward non-automated response loans to Underwriting for approval.
Verify and inspect collateral offered.
Calculate loan payments, determine loan to value (LTV) and make loan changes to secure a clear lien position.
Conducting callbacks to members
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Direct Vehicle Loan Responsibilities:
Act as primary contact for member post-funding to verify loan status, work with vendors on completion of funding and MVD process.
Book and fund loans.
Process and review loan applications through the MVD process.
Collect necessary documents required for vehicle title transfer.
Run MVR to determine the status of the vehicle title.
Send completed MVD package to Loan Services.
Document and file loan applications to secure the Credit Union's collateral.
Requirements

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
Performs clerical and loan processing duties related to Indirect Lending. Processes indirect loan documentation, funds dealership contracts for new loans, and works with dealer business offices to ensure contract payments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes loan paperwork, reviews loan documentation for completeness, and ensures funding of contracts meets turnaround time.
Audits and processes all indirect loan contracts.
Works with dealers' business offices to ensure the Credit Union is updated on funding changes and resolves any contract errors.

Updates member account information as requested from members.
Prepares reports in a timely and accurate manner including but not limited to: monthly volume reports and indirect activity reports.
Reviews funding reports daily to ensure loans are processed correctly before sending ACH funds to the dealerships.
Ensures Indirect Lending Supervisor is kept fully informed of department activities and of any significant problems or concerns.
Retains an overall knowledge of all areas of the Credit Union. Responsible for learning new products the Credit Union offers, attending staff trainings, and remaining informed of changes in Credit Union policies and procedures.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
Processes, reviews, assists with, and electronically stores consumer, real estate, and commercial loan documentation. Assists with lending functions as directed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Reviews loan documents to ensure the information is complete, accurate and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
* Ensures that paperwork is filed and stored correctly in Synergy.
* Responsible for preparing, maintaining, verifying and disbursing various loan reports and records.
* Uses Document Tracking reports to verify all files are received from the branch level and all tracking checklists are complete.
* May participate in special lending-related projects as directed.
* Assists with background loan functions such as rate changes, HMDA, borrower insurance monitoring, mortgage releases, and mailing adverse actions.
* Performs home equity loan pre-closing duties, to include ordering and reviewing appraisals, preparing and sending disclosures within regulatory timeframes, ordering and reviewing title searches, obtaining updated homeowners insurance, and other required tasks.
* Prepares and/or reviews loan documents to ensure timely closing.
* Performs home equity loan post-closing duties, to include funding the loan, assembling loan files, following up on releases of mortgage and other required tasks.
Qualifications

* Requires excellent interpersonal communication skills.

* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
* General knowledge of credit union lending is desirable.
* Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Two year Business or related degree preferred or two to four years credit union experience with progressive responsibilities in new account and/or loan operations.
* General knowledge of credit union operations may be desirable.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in advising, reviewing, and evaluating member's lending needs for personal loans and credit card.
General loan responsibilities:
Evaluate loan applications and documentation by confirming creditworthiness.
Improve loan applications and documentation by informing the applicant of additional requirements.
Complete loan contracts by explaining provisions to the applicant; obtaining signatures and notarizations; collecting fees.
Help members by answering questions, responding to requests.
Maintain confidence by keeping loan information confidential.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Manage the loan process from application to disbursement and beyond, including regular follow-up with members to assess their financial status.
