Essential Duties of the Commercial Loan/Commercial Banker Officer Include :
Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing members. Develops, expands, and services commercial loan portfolio. Position requires officer to solicit new business and grow their loan portfolio member base.
Answer questions related to business loans and account activity. Determine s members' business and personal financial services needs and responsible for cross-selling of credit union's services and products.
Will complete underwriting, establish, and negotiate terms under which credit will be extended including costs, repayment terms, and collateral requirements.
Ensure that sound analysis and lending procedures are followed. Act in compliance with Business Lending and Business Account Policies and Guidelines at all times. Ensure Regulatory Compliance is followed in all areas of work. Recommends loan policy changes as necessary
Evaluate the information provided by the business borrower. Assist members, when possible, on business management and financial matters.
Verify the accuracy of business loan amounts and repayment terms on approved loan applications. Process commercial loan files, including reviewing loan documents, obtaining title insurance, appraisals, appraisal reviews, inspections, flood paperwork, filing lien documents, and preparing loan files for closing.

This is a full-time role. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Some business development activities may occur outside standard hours. This is an on-site opportunity. The starting pay range is $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually, plus incentive, depending on experience.
Requirements
Commercial Loan Officer/Commercial Banker Education and Experience: To thrive in this role, you should have at least 3-5 years of experience as a commercial or business loan officer and feel comfortable soliciting new business and maintaining current business relationships. Responsible for sourcing new client relationships and expanding current client products and services by proactively developing pipeline activity for profitable new revenue growth. Primary products are loans, deposits, treasury management services and fees associated with these and other products.
Responsible for soliciting, establishing, and maintaining new commercial/business banking and agricultural relationships within an identified portfolio or market area.

Reviews and verifies title work is clear to close and works with all parties involved to clear title objections.
Orders and reviews both the compliance report and fraud report for accuracy and discrepancies and makes any necessary corrections.
Submits file information to automated underwriting system when necessary and verifies accuracy of the findings.
Organizes documents in appropriate order in the LOS system and submits final applications to underwriting for approval when necessary.
Follows up on any prior to docs and closing conditions for secondary market and in-house loans.
Verifies accuracy of homeowners insurance and flood insurance if applicable (personal and association) and requests mortgagee clause change prior to closing.
Requests closing numbers and all transfer documentation from closing agents, realtors, and attorneys in order to prepare closing documents. Works closely with all attorneys and realtor companies to obtain this information.
Sends and monitors the closing disclosure to verify the closing disclosure has been sent at least 3 days in advance of closing. Will notify MLO/Associate if CD is not viewed 3 days prior to closing.

While operating within regulatory requirements, QCRH loan policy, standard operating procedures, etc., this position accurately boards and services loans within the core. Commercial Boarding Specialists are responsible for other loan servicing duties such as monitoring/servicing of participation loans, posting of payments and advances, file maintenance, daily balancing, reporting for our banks and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Board (inputs) all new loans, renewals and modifications for all loan types listed in the job summary, for all bank charters within the holding company, utilizing automation, interfaces, and manual processes, as appropriate.
* Responsible for the daily balancing of loan general ledger accounts and the servicing and funding of investor payments and advances for participation loans.
