Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: This role is NOT remote. Even if you have successfully worked remotely before you will not be considered if you don't live in the area and be willing to work in the office. This role is working for a leading home builder and is a career opportunity. They are willing to train someone without previous mortgage experience. They look for someone who is resilient and self-driven, with a desire to help others. In this role, you will help home buyers get approval for a mortgage loan. You will obtain and review their financial documents like credit reports, tax returns, pay history, and more, ensuring that they meet the requirements for the loan type that they are applying for. You will be communicating with the borrowers via phone, email, and in-person - listening, and assisting them throughout the process. This candidate will be responsible for the entire end-to-end mortgage loan process for new construction loans.


Responsibilities

  • Communicate with borrowers to set expectations of documentation and deadlines, answer questions, find solutions to get loan approved
  • Review each loan file to verify that documents are present, accurate, and complete before underwriting
  • Manage loan process through mortgage software system, Encompass
  • Ensure that loan rules, obligations, and deadlines are met
  • Audit and prepare quality files that meet closing objectives
  • Obtain mortgage loan documentation for clients


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Stable work history
  • Previous experience with mortgage loan processing preferred
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, and USDA loans
  • Encompass experience
  • Positive attitude/team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
