Job Description
To assist in the daily production of food for the venue and ensure all quality and consistency standards are met.
Must have basic knife skills to include safety and usage.
Must have a working knowledge of kitchen equipment
Responsible for fast and clean servicing of all menu items to the guest service persons
Ensures that each order sent out is uniform
Controls food production to include: proper cooking methods, cooking time and temperature, and insuring sanitation and storage of prepared foods and leftovers
Prepares for a rush period of work without getting behind
Performs all relative miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
Qualifications
Able to read, convert recipes according to production requirements and business levels
Continuous standing, walking for long periods
Periodically pushing and pulling heavy carts and lifting products in proper storage areas, coolers, and freezers
Ability to work in contrasting hot and cold areas

Looking for a Line Cook that will produce and prepare menu items for the restaurant, maximizing efficiency and service, in and out of the kitchen, and ensuring that quality, quantity, and presentation of prepared food is completed in accordance with the facility's high standards. Requirements:
2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen an asset.
Grade 10 math and reading skills.
Ability to work within strict time deadlines.
Ability to work within a team and as an individual efficiently.
ServeSafe Food Handlers Certificate
Working knowledge of standard cost controls and waste management protocols.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Responsibilities:
Prepare all menu items as per customer request.
Pre-prep all menu items according to par levels.
Quality Control of all food prepared.
Ensure restaurant cooking areas are fully stocked.
Minimize wastage.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Maintain a presentable appearance to the customers.
Standard closing duties.
Other duties as assigned.
