The work assignment involves delivering both community and office based services. An employee in this class provides counseling and guidance to assist consumers in their personal recovery process including addressing such clinical issues as developing crisis response plans, rolling with resistance, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, problem solving, social skills training, education and development of natural support. Duties include completing standardized assessments, developing and completing treatment plans in conjunction with mental health treatment providers, individual counseling, group counseling, individual/group education, facilitating completion of treatment plan goals, and subsequent daily documentation. All work is in accordance with the requirements of the Missouri Department of Mental Health Integrated Dual Diagnosis Standards.
