Primary Function:
AIS is seeking Fisheries Liaison Officers to monitor, document and report commercial fishing activity during offshore surveys and construction. The liaison will serve as the primary point of contact between commercial fishing vessel representatives operating in the survey area and the survey team. The goal of the liaison will be to mitigate and document any interaction between the survey operations and commercial fishing operations. Trips will last up to 4-6 weeks. Survey vessels generally range in size from 120 ft. length overall to over 300 ft. length overall. Observation information and communication will be documented electronically on approved data sheets and summarized in daily reports. The liaison works approximately 12 hours per day with the possibility to be on call at night when needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Document date, time and location of any fishing vessel activity, fixed gear or interactions with survey gear, visibility, sea state, and other environmental conditions
* Respond and communicate effectively with any fishing vessels in the vicinity of construction or survey operations via VHF radio or single side ban radio
* Maintain a vigilant lookout for fishing activity or fishing gear in the vicinity of the operational vessel
* Communicate to the vessel captain, crew, and survey team of any fishing activity or gear sighted and advise them on any information that is relayed from communication with fishing vessels.
* Conduct protected species observation and serve as back up to the PSO monitoring team
Compensation: Candidates will be paid an hourly wage to be negotiated and total compensation will vary depending on employees experience. Equipment will be provided. This is a fulltime temporary position, however employees will be eligible for benefits once full-time eligibility requirements are met. Meals and lodging provided on vessel.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must have current STCW Basic Safety Training (BST), or GWO or BOSIET training completed within last 2 years.

You'll help to bring patients and their families more bluebird days by:
* Helping synthetize educational opportunities identified within patient community across your geography.
* Delivering patient/caregiver educational materials and content on gene therapy, disease state/disease progression and approved products at patient focused educational events, including those led by community-based organizations and/or hospitals/institutions.
* Closely collaborating with patient advocacy team in supporting and engaging with SCD warriors and patient advocates to help uncover educational needs and opportunities for partnerships.
* Supporting patient advocacy at local patient community events and in the delivery of approved educational materials.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
You're the bird we're looking for if you have:
* Bachelor's degree (required), Advanced degree preferred and 8+ years of experience in healthcare industry.
* Prior experience in patient education, clinical setting, pharmacy, community health education, and/or pharmaceutical/biotech industry is a plus
* Experience in Sickle Cell Disease therapeutic area preferred.
* Prior experience in rare disease, oncology/hematology and or transplant center experience preferred but not required.

General Statement of Duties : The Outreach Worker will perform various duties to support the Brockton RCC programs. Establishes outreach sites in the Brockton and Taunton areas for ongoing RCC groups. Work with DMH site directors in establishing outreach venues. The Outreach Worker will assist in maintaining a resource library for outreach sites, assist in the collection and reporting of data, facilitate events and programs of the SERLC, foster a warm and welcoming environment, communicate, represent and promote the peer perspective in the SERLC and facilitate peer-run groups.
· Person with lived experience with mental health recovery (Demonstrated personal experience with mental, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges, along with a strong capacity for empathy, cultural sensitivity, conflict resolution and leadership skills, is required.)
· Must have a drivers license and reliable transportation with the ability to travel to provide outreach and group facilitation in the Taunton area.
· Experience in facilitating peer-run groups.
Essential Functions:
1. Provides on-going health and peer support to SERLC participants.
2. Facilitates peer-run groups.
3. Research, and outreach to venues to establish RCC groups in the greater Brockton/Taunton communities.
4. While paperwork is minimal, provide assistance in the development of reports and collection of data.
5. Attends and participates in social events, trainings and workshops as pertains to professional development within BAMSI and as recommended by the SERLC leadership.
6. Helps to facilitate events and training sessions within the SERLC.

Qualifications:
