The Intake Specialist will work directly within the Firm's intake center. Duties/Responsibilities
· Answering inbound phone calls and placing outbound calls with stellar customer service, professionalism, enthusiasm, and compassion;
· Performing unbiased screening on all inbound phone calls for the potential client;
· Assessing and determining the viability of inbound phone calls during client intake screening process;
· Obtain evidence from the client at the time of the initial in-person interview, including photos of injuries, relevant documents, etc.;
· Assist in locating missing/unreachable client as assigned by Intake Manager;
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Role Description:
Our intake team is the first point of contact for individuals who have been injured or harmed. Intake assistants engage with clients via phone calls, emails, texts, and in-person to gather preliminary information regarding legal matters for a variety of cases (civil rights, class action, employment, medical malpractice, sexual abuse, etc.), while demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding.

Coordinates infusion and nursing services for the pharmacy which includes handling incoming referral calls and completing referral forms.
Responsible for transcribing detailed and accurate information into the computer system correctly to include but not limited to demographics, Insurance information, Physician information, Nursing agency and patient information.
Attaching appropriate payers into CPR+ to the patient record.
Handles electronic faxes as appropriate.
Completes patient admit packets for all new patients and forwards it to the dispatcher.
Provides Pharmacy orders to assigned Pharmacist.
Communicates with and documents all communications and authorizations with case managers, nursing agencies, patient/caregiver, physicians, insurance and pharmacists into the computer system (CPR+).
Insurance verifications and request all authorizations when needed within 24 hours of the referral. Must follow each insurance contract's protocol when requesting authorizations.
It is the responsibility of the intake coordinator to verify that all codes in the authorization are correct and have been included.
Consults with the Director of Pharmacy for cash quotes and questions regarding the referral or medications.
Consults and confirms with the Intake Supervisor and/or Pharmacist-In-Charge regarding reimbursement rates as applicable.
Responsible for communicating details of same day delivery to assigned Pharmacist and delivery dispatcher for execution.
Contributes to ongoing communication with the home health agencies, hospitals, and doctor's offices for the pharmacy.
Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
Participate in the pharmacy's Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
Participate in pharmacy committees when requested.
Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy.
Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have one-year Specialty Pharmacy/Intake experience.

How will you make an impact?
The Reimbursement Liaison will serve as an expert in reimbursement policies, as well as patient and provider support, to ensure patients have access to Glaukos' sight saving technologies.
The Reimbursement Liaison works with physician practices (both private and hospital affiliated institutions). They interact directly with key management personnel, providers and staff members to assure patient access to care. This individual appropriately educates HCPs and their office staff on clinical documentation, securing treatment approvals, patient tracking, claim submission, reconciliation management, patient education, drug inventory, patient copay assistance and drug acquisition channels. This position helps HCPs understand barriers that may impede or delay appropriate patient access to treatment and/or prevent optimal patient outcomes. The BHC's residential DMC program will employ 100 people and works closely with the other BHC programs to provide a continuum of services for low income/Medi-Cal population. The program is located on the campus of Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital in the Willowbrook area of South Los Angeles and will serve all LA County residents.
The Community Outreach & Education Specialist conducts outreach directly to potential clients (street outreach, jail in-reach, shelter visits, community events) to increase awareness and understanding of SUD treatment generally, and of the services at MRT BHC specifically. Uses motivational interviewing and harm reduction skills, as well as trauma-informed approach, to encourage eligible clients to choose treatment. Also conducts outreach to other service providers and stakeholders to market the MRT BHC program, to increase awareness of its services and target population among providers who might refer eligible clients to the program. Educates community members, service providers, MRT BHC partners, and other County department personnel about SUD, treatment, and care coordination. Knowledgeable about all of the above and responsive to client, family, and stakeholder questions.

Direct Service:
Engage potential clients at various locations (e.g., streets, community services organizations, shelters, etc.), at frequent and regular intervals to educate and motivate them to engage in SUD treatment services.

Address inquiries and concerns regarding the program.
Depending on assignment, the incumbent may also have responsibilities specific to the following: Supervises and interacts with program participants at senior centers, or parks, and other activity locations; oversees program part-time staff; prepares promotional materials for program activities; addresses emergency/accident issues regarding patrons and facilities; meets and confers with participants and center staff regarding program policies and procedures; plans, organizes, promotes and conducts activities for senior participants; assists in the development and implementation of center goals and objectives
Performs other tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Two years of experience handling recreation programs and activities, including program planning, leadership, interaction with the public and strong CivicRec registration software principles. Knowledge of city facility usage, classes and special events or related experience.
For Senior Mobility Program:
Preferably, some experience in general transportation and driving.
Education: Two years college coursework with an emphasis in education, recreation administration, public administration, business administration, child development, gerontology or related field or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, skills and abilities.
Ability to deal professionally with customers of all ages.
License/Certificate:
Possession and retention of a valid California Class C driver's license is required
CPR and First Aid certificates are desirable
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIESKnowledge of: Internet, computers, Microsoft Office, current office software applications and strong CivicRec registration software background. Strong recreation and special events programming background combined with educational techniques and customer service experience; City and agency policies, procedures, and their effective implementation.
Ability to: work in a team environment, work with children, adults, and seniors; understand and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing to public and staff; use correct grammar and spelling; answer questions on a wide range of recreation subjects; handle a variety of emergency situations specific to recreation programs and facilities.
Special Working Conditions: Must be willing and able to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, days and evenings, on a regular basis as a condition of employment.
Note: This position works a varied schedule of assigned hours, Monday - Friday, weekends, and holidays as needed, including mandatory work schedule for facility and citywide special events as needed. For the Senior Mobility program:
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Hmong, Korean, or Samoan is highly desirable.
