Forbes is seeking an IT Support Analyst for a temporary assignment. This role will involve a variety of tasks centered around managing user accounts as well as managing computers through Okta/AD/Microsoft Intune/Jamf. This role will report into the Sr. Manager, Corporate Solutions for a three month assignment.
Our office operates as a remote and hybrid workforce, with in-person collaboration expected for certain roles. Based on the responsibilities of this position, a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of two in-person collaboration days per week at our Jersey City, NJ headquarters is expected.
Responsibilities:
Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming service requests from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, telecommunications, video conferencing, and other computer-related technologies.
Ensures the security of computers with the installation of Crowdstrike and Okta Verify or other endpoint protection
Maintains the overall desktop environment, including hardware installation and troubleshooting, software installation, configuration, and support. This includes Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro.
Diagnoses and performs routine repairs or arranges for vendor repair, as appropriate for a wide range Windows and Macintosh hardware issues.
Performs local and remote installations of software and helps users access and use software via Teamviewer.
Assist with upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11
Maintains detailed trouble tickets, escalating issues accordingly and keeping the constant channel of communication open with customers during escalation.
Monitors conference rooms for any issues with Zoom Room equipment including TVs, cameras & microphones
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of IT support experience
Must have experience managing computers through Intune and Jamf.
Fluency in troubleshooting Windows, Macintosh, Google Workspace, SharePoint, Zoom, Wi-Fi, and basic networking.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Intune, Jamf Pro, Adobe, Google Workspace, Zoom.
Ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing between 20 and 30 pounds throughout their workday
The hourly rate for this role is $45.00 - $45.00

What you'll do:
Review research papers and experiment with state-of-the-art approaches in the field of 3D scene understanding and Scan-to-CAD conversion

In close collaboration with other computer vision team members, this role will involve a healthy mix of classical 3D computer vision and modern deep learning engineering, focused around 3D scanning, 3D reconstruction, SLAM, and scene understanding domains. We don't separate research from development. In this role, you'll be writing production code with focus on quality and value for customers, at the forefront of state-of-the-art computer vision.
What you'll do:
Develop new and improve existing computer vision algorithms in the field of house-scale 3D reconstruction (from LiDAR and/or monocular camera), SLAM, and scene understanding.
Build efficient implementations of algorithms and deliver them to production.
Remain up to date with the latest advances in computer vision and deep learning technology, and apply them to our products.
Work closely with the iOS team to improve real-time scanning experience for our scanning app users.
You should have:
Experience in 3D computer vision R&D such as 3D scanning, RGBD algorithms, visual SLAM, sensor calibration and fusion, multi-view geometry, tracking and pose estimation, etc.
Ability to quickly evaluate applicability and value of existing state-of-the-art research for our product needs.
Experience with writing production C++ code.
Solid math background, especially in 3D math and linear algebra.
Comfortable working across multiple time zones and cultures.
Nice to have:
Deep learning experience in application to 3D computer vision problems.
Experience of working with large production C++ codebases.

The Ideal Candidate
1 year of experience designing digital products (this can be through coursework).

Comfortable designing in Figma.
Possess a portfolio showcasing your work.
Innately curious and proactive, with a passion for new and emerging design approaches, technologies and platforms.
Plus: Experience with or passion for editorial products.
About Our Summer Intern Program
Our internships are paid.
This internship is approximately 40 hours/week Monday-Friday.
Internships begin mid-June and end mid-August
Interns are invited to weekly presentations to hear from leaders within the organization.
This role can be fully remote (within the U.S.), in-person based out of Jersey City, NJ, or on a hybrid work schedule.
The hourly rate for this role is $21.00 - $21.00

Forbes Vetted is seeking an experienced Deals And Coupons Writer to join our growing commerce editorial team. This role will be responsible for researching and writing about the latest sales, deals and coupons across all of our verticals including home, fashion, beauty, tech, parenting and gear. You will work under the guidance of both the Forbes Vetted Senior Coupons Editor and the Deals Editor to assist in building out our library of coupon store pages, as well as cover a mix of single product deals, deal roundups, site-wide sales and tentpole events. This is a fast-paced role in which you will often need to demonstrate the ability to respond to an ever-changing online deal landscape. This role reports to the Senior Deals Editor.
The final candidates will be expected to complete a writing test.
Responsibilities
Researching and writing 1-3 deal articles per day
Building and maintaining coupon store pages on a weekly basis, with guidance from the Senior Coupons Editor
Updating evergreen sale content across a variety of categories on a weekly basis
Participating in sales event coverage, including occasional shifts over holiday weekends like Memorial Day, Labor Day and Black Friday through Cyber Monday
Working with the business and SEO teams as needed to ensure deal content is optimized for revenue and search
Working with the Updates team to add sale pricing and event information to evergreen stories in the lead-up to and during tentpole events
Collaborating with the Assistant Deals Editor on brand-building initiatives such as columns, social videos and newsletters
The Ideal Candidate
1-2 years of experience writing deals content and/or product reviews
Impeccable writing skills
A strong understanding of SEO best practices for commerce content
