Responsibilities:
Prepare and draft estate planning documents, including but not limited to Wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, and healthcare directives, under the guidance of an attorney
Customize documents based on individual client situations, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all drafts
Assist attorneys in conducting initial client intake interviews to gather relevant personal, financial, and family information required for document drafting
Coordinate communication with clients, answering inquiries and ensuring all necessary documents and information are collected in a timely manner
Maintain client confidentiality while managing sensitive financial and personal data
Ensure all executed documents are properly signed, notarized, and filed in accordance with state law
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in estate planning or related legal fields
Certification as a paralegal from an accredited program (preferred)
At least 3 years of experience drafting estate planning documents or in a similar paralegal role with a focus on wills, trusts, and related legal documents
Proficiency in using legal software such as Clio, NetDocuments, Wealth Docx preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
