This is a full-time, onsite role supporting multiple attorneys within the firm's Global Trademark and Brand Management Practice. Key Responsibilities
Manage a full docket of U.S. and international trademark deadlines, ensuring timely reminders and compliance
Conduct preliminary trademark screening searches using databases such as TESS, SAEGIS, Corsearch, and WIPO
Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, renewals, declarations of use, extensions, and office action responses via TEAS
File international applications and extensions of international registrations with WIPO
Record assignments, name changes, and lien releases with the USPTO
Prepare and file documents with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) via ESTTA
Coordinate filings under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP)
Communicate with clients regarding trademark filings, enforcement, and strategy
Instruct and liaise with foreign counsel on international trademark prosecution and enforcement
Investigate trademark infringement issues and assist in enforcement actions
Create customized trademark reports and support business development initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years of trademark paralegal experience in a law firm or equivalent professional setting
Strong familiarity with the USPTO's TEAS and ESTTA systems and related procedures
Experience handling international trademark filings and managing foreign counsel relationships
Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal Certificate preferred
Certified Paralegal designation is a plus
Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and trademark-related databases and tools
