Coordinates with other divisions/departments and equipment/materials suppliers to ensure completion of projects/tasks efficiently and on time. Operates equipment used by the division in backup/support as needed; reports need for major repair to manager/supervisor. Monitors SCADA system to maximize distribution system performance and reliability in backup or support as needed. Performs field work in back-up or support as needed. Responsible for work zone safety, including signage, confined space permitting, etc. Prepares, maintains, and updates charts, files, maps, reports, and other records related to assigned duties; submits work orders. May assist Division Manager in the preparation of the annual budget related to assigned duties and crews. Qualifications A combination of the experience, education, and training listed below which provides an equivalent background to perform the work of this position. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Works with maintenance manager and planner to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks. · Serves as liaison between production leadership and the maintenance team. Collaborates with production leads and supervisors to set priorities in support of business goals. · Tracks maintenance key performance indicators in real time and reports out to the Maintenance Manager. Partners with Maintenance team to mitigate roadblocks or challenges. · Assesses production equipment priorities to plan work assignments. · Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work orders; delegates work orders based on team members skills and experience. · Ensures maintenance and repair work is completely safely, effectively, and in a timely manner. · Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments. · Inspects work performed by team members. · Audits workers time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes. · Incorporates MITER Brand's vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the MITER Brands Guiding Principles. · Adheres to all facets of safety policies and procedures. · Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications ESSENTIAL ABILITIES: · Extensive knowledge of production equipment, such as electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, fabrication, etc. · Must be able to read and follow blueprints and schematics. · Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) experience required. · Sense of urgency and self-motivation with leadership abilities to generate results. · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. · Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate. · Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed. · Ability to plan maintenance schedules for production demands. · Strong supervisory and leadership skills. · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory. EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/FORMAL TRAINING: · High school diploma or equivalent required. · Associate's degree in engineering or related field is a plus. · At least five years of maintenance experience required. · At least two years of experience in a leadership capacity.
