Outfitting: Joiner equipment, foundations, windows & portlights, doors, hatches, manholes, inclined ladders, etc. Experience in supervising others. Firm understanding of scheduling and ability to adhere to strict deadlines. Experience interacting with production personnel, multiple design teams from several companies, customer representatives, and equipment manufacturers. Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees, customers, and subcontractors. Strong working knowledge of Maritime Regulatory Authorities (i.e., ABS, DNV, NAVSEA, MIL, USCG, IMO, MSC, etc.). Knowledge of various computer programs including AutoCAD, NAVIS, General Hydrostatics, and Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge in FEMAP is a plus. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 10 years in shipyard design and/or construction experience.
