Responsible for engineering support for existing and new plastic injection tooling for the Garden Furniture Business Unit in Keter's Portersville / Adams Manufacturing facility. The position will support manufacturing operations related to preventative maintenance, repairs, root cause problem solving, and technical skill development of the tool room. In addition, the position will support new product development relative to plastic part and tooling design from design conception through production. The role will lead and participate in cross-functional continuous improvement and NPD projects with the Engineering and Operations teams.
In This Role, You'll Have The Opportunity To:
* Develop and coordinate preventative maintenance program for all injection tooling. Programs include daily, weekly, and annual maintenance executed by the operation's tool room and external tooling vendors.
* Manage tooling repairs within the operation and at external tool vendors through timelines, status updates and vendor visits as required.
* Maintains project and tooling budgets.
* Collaborate with the Operation to improve key metrics centered around OEE and quality performance relative to tooling and part designs.
* Develop ECN system and champion ECN process for part and mold design changes with a release to operations for all related ECNs in manufacturing including assembly methods and BOM changes.
