Minimum Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive representation to clients (employees and/or unions) in employment matters, including but not limited to representation in administrative discipline cases, dismissals, grievance hearings, unfair labor practice charges, State Personnel Board appeals, arbitrations/mediations, and trials as required. Opportunities to represent clients in wage and hour disputes.
Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on a variety of labor and employment issues and communicate with clients effectively and in a timely manner.
Conduct legal research and factual investigation to prepare legal documents and develop strategies.
Drafting legal documents/pleadings and motions, taking and defending depositions or other investigatory interviews, drafting and answering discovery, drafting and responding to employment-related demand letters, negotiating employment-related settlement agreements, arbitration/trial preparation, advising related to collective bargaining negotiations/agreements.
Prepare for and attend court appearances as necessary.
Attend MCLE trainings and keep up-to-date with the latest legal developments affecting employment law.
Independently manages caseload and stays abreast of deadlines.
Establishing and maintaining relationships, credibility and trust with clients, legal team members, and other colleagues.
Attend monthly client board meetings or other client events as required. Participation in a rotational 24/7 on-call schedule required.
