Summary:
The Milwaukee Bucks Legal Summer 2025 Intern will support the Legal Department with special projects and various office duties and will report to the Vice President, Legal & Business Operations. The ideal candidate must have great communication and organizational skills, be professional and able to multi-task. Applicant must have proficient computer skills. Any experience drafting contracts, working for a sports team/event or organization, entertainment or athletic department, is beneficial. A background in finance, tax and/or insurance is useful. Candidate should have a general understanding and interest in the game of basketball. This is a full-time, 10-week-long position.
Responsibilities:
Contract drafting and review of vendor, sales, sponsorship and marketing agreements;
Managing the Milwaukee Bucks contract management system (Legisway Essentials);
Reviewing and drafting company policies;
Organizing and filing documentation, tracking pending legal matters, legal records, standard forms, terms and conditions and policies and procedures;
Researching legal and business questions;
Drafting legal memoranda advising the Milwaukee Bucks Legal Department in all business and legal aspects;
Potential projects related to real estate development surrounding Fiserv Forum; and
General assistance to the Milwaukee Bucks Legal Department and liaise with management and other departments as necessary
Qualifications:
B.S. or B.A degree
Currently attending an ABA-accredited law school as a full-time student
Completion of second year of law school at the time of internship preferred
Minimum 3.0 GPA and top half of class
Authorized to work in the United States
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficient using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw and/or Wolters Kluwer
