Job Description:
Job Duties: Duties will include planning and maintenance of all park landscape including: flower beds, small ponds, fountains, tree and shrub plantings, butterfly gardens, and other landscape features. This will include the purchase of materials, weeding, planting, renovations, chemical use, and other related activities. Operating power tools such as: chainsaw, riding mower, push mover, edgar, string trimmer and blower.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: No specific experience or education is required for this class.
Preferred: Minimum one year experience working as a professional groundskeeper or landscape installer.
Other: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license for work-related travel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of the operation of various types of equipment associated with grounds maintenance. Ability to operate and maintain hand and powered tools and equipment, to transport tools and equipment from storage area to work site. Ability to work outside and lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout an 8 to 10 hour work shift.

Working Conditions & Physical Efforts:
