The Landscaper is responsible for working in a team environment to ensure the overall upkeep and eye appeal of the Sunriver Resort grounds and surrounding forest. This position ensures that all outdoor areas are safe, clean, and visually appealing, contributing to the efficient operation and positive image of Idaho Falls Power. May perform all or some of the following: The Groundskeeper performs routine maintenance of Idaho Falls Power and Idaho Falls Fiber grounds, including mowing, trimming, weed control, and seasonal landscaping tasks. This includes preventative maintenance on outdoor facilities and irrigation systems. The position also involves minor facility repairs such as plumbing, painting, light carpentry, and concrete repair. Additionally, the Groundskeeper prepares grounds for various projects and special events, ensuring they remain clean and hazard-free. General grounds duties to include weed elimination, tree and shrub trimming, spraying and fertilizing, sprinkler and irrigation systems, sprinkler head and components maintenance, watering schedules, and overall grounds maintenance with exposure to health and occupational hazards. The job is physically demanding with repetitive bending, lifting, and walking for long periods of time. Applicant must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively throughout the day. Applicant must be willing/able to cope with all types of weather, dust and fumes caused by equipment, and work- related noise. Hours will vary according to school events and watering schedules. This is a seasonal, full-time position, mid-March through November 15th (weather permitting). Duties are assigned by the maintenance supervisor. Additional duties may be determined by the building administrator and district office. Employee must have the ability to work independently, and/or interact with other departments and staff. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Assignments often involve heavy lifting, multiple tasks, and inclement weather.
