JOB SUMMARY: The Landscape Maintenance position works under the general supervision of the Landscape Services Supervisor. This position is responsible for general care and maintenance of school grounds, trees and landscaped areas, and provide labor support as needed. Work hours are Monday Friday, 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate all tools and equipment necessary for landscape maintenance.
Ensure proper care and maintenance of all equipment and tools used for landscape maintenance. Tools include, but are not limited to mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and pressure washers.
Perform basic vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs.
Cut grass; prune shrubs and trees; clean gutters, sidewalks, and roads.
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides as needed and directed by the supervisor.
Assist with trash pickup throughout campus.
Keep all roads, walkways, paved, and concrete areas clean, clear, and safe of debris.
Install and repair complete landscape irrigation systems.
Additional Duties:
Assist with set-up and cleaning tables, chairs, tarps, tents, etc. for school functions.
Provide labor services to move furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Perform any duties required to support the operation and function of the School.

Our campus consists of multiple buildings on 44 hilly acres that requires walking and working on hills, slopes, and fields. Will need to bend, lift, and carry items. Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s) such as for operating weed whackers, hedge trimmers, pole saws, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, etc. and picking up leaves, branches, and trash. For safety reasons, it is important to see and hear within normal parameters and possess the ability to move around without difficulty in order to work efficiently. Pre-hire and periodic physical functional capacity tests will be given by a third party to ensure the employee can perform the tasks safely and for the safety of others.
MENTAL DEMANDS:

Essential Responsibilities
Custodial Services:

* Regularly pressure wash all concrete walkways and paths to ensure they remain clean, clear, and safe for pedestrian traffic.
* Cleans and disinfects restrooms, conducts regular checks and replenishes supplies to uphold hygiene standards and ensure restrooms are consistently fully stocked and operational.
General Maintenance and Facility Support:
* Independently performs general facility maintenance services and may assist in training other Facility & Grounds Maintenance Workers.
* Performs general building and fixture repairs, including repairing/replacing screens, installing non-skid strips, and performing simple carpentry tasks such as fixing doors, windows, latches, and installing/changing locks.
* Responsible for routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs to fixtures and drainage systems, as well as general painting and touch-ups on surfaces and furnishings.
* Ensures proper maintenance and service of equipment and tools, including cleaning, replacing defective parts, and preparing and restoring work areas as needed.
* Supports student activities and projects by delivering and assembling equipment, furniture, materials, and office or school supplies to various locations as needed.
* Maintains grounds and equipment at assigned locations, including lawn care, trimming, pruning, and applying fertilizers or pesticides as needed.
* Handles landscaping and waste management, including planting, watering, and disposing of yard waste and debris.
