Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Groundskeeper - Facilities. This position maintains the exterior of facilities by mowing and edging lawns, and transplanting, cutting and trimming trees, shrubs and ground cover. Applies herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers and other chemicals. Installs and maintains irrigation systems by making necessary repairs to electrical wiring and plumbing and programming digital controllers. Performs maintenance duties by operating heavy equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, as well as tractor-mounted trenchers, tillers, and sprayers. Performs related duties as assigned. Work is performed under the direction of the Facilities Technical Coordinator. Previous experience with various forms of lawn equipment such as weed-eaters is preferred. Candidates must have level of education equivalent to four years of high school and must possess and maintain a valid Texas Class C Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
